Chapter sixteen

Tracy

I was busy making breakfast while I waited for Alec to come down. He was on the phone with my paternal parents trying to get them to see us. After a few minutes Quinn and Emily walked in and I gave them plates to help themselves, Alec came down with a scowl on his face and my heart sank.

"They have agreed to meet with us today but they want to see you alone first" he said and gave me a kiss on the cheek then grabbed a plate.

"That doesn't sound so bad" I said relieved.

"We know nothing about them and now I have to leave you alone with them for goddess knows how long" he mumbled and I went to touch his arm.

"It's going to be fine, everything will work out" I said and kissed him on his cheek.

My nerves were shot, we were about to meet my real parents and I didn't know what to expect. Because of Rian, Alec didn't want me to leave his territory so my parents agreed to meet us here at the local restaurant. We were waiting for about five minutes when a couple walked in, the woman looked like she was in her fourties and the man looked a bit older, the woman had blonde hair and she looked friendly from what I could see. The man had brown hair that was beginning to show gray. They were both gorgeous people.

As they neared our table I could barely keep my nerves together, Alec took my hand and gave it a squeeze, I looked at him and he smiled.

" You got this love" he said and turned back to greet my parents.

"Alpha Alec, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Derek Campbell and this is my wife Isabella" the man said and shook Alec's hand, the woman gave him a smile.

"Mr and Mrs Campbell, it's a pleasure to meet you, please just call me Alec and this is my mate Tracy" Alec introduced us.

Derek and Isabella stared at me for a while then they both pulled me in and gave me a hug which caused Alec to give a low growl. I eyed him and he apologized then he took my hand and turned me to him.

"I will be right outside if you need me" he gave me a kiss and walked out.

"Well, this is akward, please sit" I said and my parents laughed.

"Wow, I never thought we would see you again, you have become a beautiful young woman" Isabella said, Derek nodded in agreement and I smiled at them.

"We would love to get to know you darling, and we have plenty of time but first thing first, Alec said you were in danger and thats why we agreed to meet with you, to see if you were realy our daugter but there's no doubts about it, you look just like your grandmother did when she was young." Derek said and I nodded.

"I am afraid that I got myself into trouble unknowingly. I will make this short and sweet and we can get to the details in time. I was married to a guy named Rian, he was abusive and obsessed with me, well he still is obsessed with me. My friend, Emily, helped me get away, I ended up here and found a lot of surprises and now Rian is after me and he is a Lycan" I ended and finally rook a breath. They just looked at me, shocked. Right then Alec came back in and looked at Derek.

"You wanted to see me" He said to Derek. What the hell? He didn't even call for him or anything. Alec noted my confusion and gave me a look that said 'I will tell you later'

"Yes, Will you be able to prepare a room for me and Isabella, we do not know how long we will be staying, probably untill after that Lycan is dead" Derek said and Alec nodded.

"We have a cottage next to our house you can use for the time being" Alec replied. I did not miss that he said "our" and my stomach felt full of butterflies again.

The car ride home was silent, nobody talked as we were all busy with our own thoughts. Back home Alec showed Derek and Isabella to the cottage and we agreed to meet for dinner at Alec's home.

"You handled everything well, love" Alec said as we sat on the couch.

"I just hope everything ends well" I replied and laid my head against his shoulder.
