The Weretiger's Curse

Chapter Nineteen

Tracy

Four months have passed since my parents arrived. Derek and Isabella was learning me the ropes of being a guardian and I was a quick learner. I have started calling them mom and dad and they have decided to stay and reside here in The Valley at the cottage near us. Things between me and Alec was going great, he still haven't claimed or marked me but I knew it would happen soon, his tiger was starting to go crazy and I knew it was getting really hard for Alec to control his tiger.

We havent heard from Rian yet but the border patrol picked up his scent near the border a few times along with some other scents. Derek was trying to find out if Rian was one of the first Lycans or one of the offsprings. Emily was working on some spells to use incase Rian showed up.

"Tracy, where's your head? You cant just dose off in the middle of a spar!" Quinn said sternly and I looked at him.

"Sorry Quinn, I was just thinking about how our lives were going" I said with a smile and he shook his head.

"Let's call it a day and head home" he announced and I couldn't be happier about it.

I wanted to go see mom and dad and ask them of we could do some training, I wanted to learn more about telepathy.

On my way home I found kathy crying hysterically and I rushed over to her. She was holding her head and kept saying no over and over again. I touched her arm and called out her name but she didn't respond. I got my phone out of my traing bag and dailed Alec's number.

"Hey gorgeous, what's up" he said when he answered.

"Alec, I'm infront of Kathy and Kate's house but we got a problem, can you get here please?"

"Hang on" was all he said and hang up.

I tried calling out to Kathy again but she was still crying and it was like she wasn't hearing me, people were starting to come out of their houses to see what's going on.

It was getting cold and I decided to go grab a jacket for her inside, I opened the door and I immediately smelled the blood. I followed the scent and when I entered the bathroom I saw what Kathy was so hysterical about.

Kate was in the bathtub, her wrist cut open and there was blood everywhere. I hurried over and tried getting a pulse but I had no luck, Kate was dead. It looked like suicide but then I saw the purple marks on her neck and arms.

I walked outside, the thought of the jacket completely gone. I saw Alec running towards us and before he got to Kathy I called him over.

"What's going on?" He asked with worry.

" I was on my way home after training with Quinn when I found Kathy like this, I tried calling her name a few times but it was like she didn't hear me. I went into her house to get a jacket for her but then I smelled the blood, I followed the smell and then I found Kate in the bathtub. Alec, she's dead"

Alec rushed into the house and a few minutes later he came out, his expression hard but his eyes held so much sadness. I pulled him into a hug and whispered sweet nothings to him so he could calm down. I knew Kate was like a sister to him, even after she betrayed us he still let her go but the pack wasn't the same with her anymore, they didn't treat her that well and I knew she was planning on leaving.

I pulled out my phone again and called Quinn's number.

"What's up Trace?"

"Quinn, can you and Emily please get to Kathy's house, Kate is dead and I don't know what to do. Kathy is hysterical and Alec is just standing here, not saying anything" I said feeling half panicked.

"On it" he said and hang up. I took a few deep breaths and calmed myself, I had to be strong.

Quinn and Emily arrived and I updated them on everything then asked them to take Kathy to Alec's house. After that I called the pack medics and the pack police because I had a suspicion that this wasn't what it looked like.

I then asked everyone to go back into their houses and that we will have a pack meeting as soon as we know more. I had no Idea how to deal with these kind of things, pack things, but I knew I had to step up and do something. Alec was still just standing there with a murderous look on his face and I wanted to go to him but the medics and the police showed up so I called Isabella and Derek to come and watch over him while I was dealing with everything else.

I told the pack's Sherriff about my suspicion and after seeing Kate's body he agreed with me. He ordered a team to check and go through everything in the house. The medics took Kate's body away and I started cleaning all the blood from the floor and bathtub. This should have probably freaked me out a lot more than it is and I do not know why it doesn't.

After about two hours one of the police officers came to me with a note, it had my name on it and I recognised the handwriting immediately. My blood ran cold and my hand shook as I opened the note.

My dearest wifey

See what happens when I don't get my way? Thought you were rid of me? Think again, sweetheart.

I folded the note again and tears were running down my face, I knew this wasn't suicide.
