A Riddle [Draco Malfoy X Reader]

Chapter One

The sound of footsteps and voices we're the only only thing she could hear. Multiple people were running around the small comfortable home in Godrics hallow. The little girl sat silently in her crib , holding a soft fluffy panda stuffed toy in her tiny hands.

The girls eyes skimmed the bright room , looking out a gap from the slightly opened door. There she saw , three tall gentlemen covering a lifeless woman's body. Suddenly  five adults came bursting in the little nursery she was in.

A woman stops suddenly , seeing the baby in the crib. The others stop as well and look down to get a good look at the small child in front of them.

"Well , what do we do with her?" One of them asked.

"I say throw her in Azkaban!"

"What?! Are you insane?! She is but a harmless baby!"

"She is the offspring of evil itself! We must put her there!"

"Stop it. The both of you. She will stay in Azkaban untill she is 5 years of age-"

"But sir!-"

"I'm not finished , Ronna. After her 5th birthday , someone will willingly take her and care for her."

"But what if no one wants to?"

"I'll do it! I'll take care of her!"

"Are you sure Ronna? This thing is the embodiment of evil , are you really su-"

"YES! yes , I am COMPLETELY sure"

"Alright it's settled then"

They all nod in agreement. A witch with short black hair with a few gray strands walk closer to the scared girl and gently picks her up.

The small child starts crying , afraid of being hurt by the tense aurors surrounding her. A quiet , almost silent voice enters the girls head.

"I'll see you soon, my child..."

I jolted up from my bed. Tears trickling down my face. I have the same dream every night but it still manages to bring me to tears. I got up from my king sized bed and looked at my calendar.

It was my birthday! Normally I don't like my birthday , wait no that's an understatement , I HATE my birthday. But today is an exception , today I was getting my......

Banana! Nah lol jk I was just seeing if you were paying attention. I was getting my hogwarts letter! I went to my  large wardrobe and took a white button up shirt and jeans , I also got my green hoodie.

I walked in the bathroom and placed my change of clothes on the counter. I stripped my PJs and put them in the laundry basket. I stepped in and stood under the water for a few minutes.

I ran fingers down my soft h/l h/c hair and rinsed off the shampoo. After a few more minutes I got out and dried my hair. I put my clothes on and walked back into my room  (which was connected to my bathroom) and walked out my bedroom so be met with the rest of my large mansion.

I got down the stairs and walked into the kitchen. I smiled , seeing my caretaker making breakfast. Her short black hair had gotten more gray strands in. She was a short and a bit tan from always going outside. She used to be an auror but retired six years ago to take care of me.

"Hey Ronna" I grinned , walking next to her. "Oh hello dear , I didn't hear you come down." She smiled , stirring the pancake mixture in the bowl. "There's something on the table for you , I'm sure you'll love it" she smirked. I smirked back slightly , knowing what it was. I thanked her and ran towards the table and saw a neatly folded letter on the table.

I took it and turned my head around. Ronna was watching me , smiling , I smiled and turned back to read my letter.

Dear Ms. Y/n Riddle,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1st.

We await your owl no later than July 31st.

"So? Did you get in?" Ronna asked. I ran towards her and suffocated her in a tight hug. "I got in! Ronna I got in!" She hugged me back , kissing the top of my head.

"We'll go to Diagon Alley later today to get your things" I nodded. I left to go back in my room. I opened the door and immediately flopped on my bed. 

I started daydreaming about going to Hogwarts , meeting new people and everything I'm going to do there. I started to wonder...
