Simple sparring

(Quickly: I literally only ever use a treadmill so I have no idea what an actual workout routine is like so sorry if I get this wrong)

Authors POV

Catra walked down the road silently listening to the wind blow. After telling Scorpia she was heading to the gym she got the bus to save her walking the full way and since it was faster. As she walked down the road she began trying to remember what the gym looked like on the inside, Catra had only ever been there about 4 or 5 times since she was in the area at the time, usually she would just workout in the university's gym with her other "friends". As she rounded a corner she saw it at the end of the street and began to pick up the pace a bit not wanting to keep Adora waiting to long.

Catra's POV

As I entered the gym I was greeted with the familiar smell of sweaty bodies and the sound of whatever was on the TV on the wall barely anyone chose to watch while exercising. A tap on my shoulder made me turn around to face an already sweaty Adora wearing a short sleeved white shirt (that showed off her muscles really well) and jeans. "Hey Adora" I said turning around and smirking while desperately trying to hide my gay panic over her look, "hey so you ready to spar " she said clearly eager to get started, "sure lead the way" I said following Adora to an area of the gym for sparring

Adora's POV (yep everyone gets one this time)

"So how good are you at sparring" I asked Catra handing her a pair of sparring gloves, I wanted to know if I should take it easy on her in case she wasn't to good at it, "well I did manage to beat up a guy twice my size once so I'm pretty sure I know a thing or two about sparring" she said putting the gloves on, I noticed how long her nails were (wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't mind fighting dirty), "well then I guess I don't need to take it easy on you then" I said smirking confidently, "those are fighting words were I come from, why don't we make a little game out of it" she said with a mischievous grin on her face, "w-what did you have in mind" I said trying to hide my nervousness, Catra sometimes seems to emit this dominant energy that can make me uneasy in an instant. "Who ever wins the match gets to decide where we go the next time we hang out, sound fair" she said getting ready to spar, "u-uh yea sure that sounds fair" I said as me and Catra both got into a sparring stance.

Authors POV

It had been 1o minutes since Catra and Adora had started and neither seemed to be letting up. Catra threw another jab at Adora but she quickly blocked it and threw one of her own, Catra managed to dodge it and landed a hit on Adora knocking her to the ground. "I-I win" said Catra while breathing heavily, "yea I guess so, your not to bad at this" said Adora getting up and beginning to take off her gloves, "your not too bad yourself" said Catra taking off her gloves too, "well you won so where do you wanna go the next time" asked Adora grabbing a near by towel to wipe the sweat off her face, "well if you want we could go out for a drink sometime, I know this good place near my dorms" said Catra taking a drink from a bottle of water Adora had brung, "ye that be nice though maybe we should make sure not to drink to much" said Adora blushing slightly, "y-yea" said Catra also slightly blushing.

"So if you want I could walk with you till we get to the bus stop" said Adora as her and Catra left the gym "sure" Catra simply replied as the two began to walk down the street. It had been a few minutes of the two silently walking when Adora decided to speak. "Hey" she said, "ye" replied Catra glancing lazily in her direction, "I was wondering what made you want to hang out with me after the cafe" Adora asked looking at Catra. Catra was silent for a few minutes, clearly thinking about her response, "I guess I just found you interesting, I was kinda worried when you saw me in the cafe cause I thought It was just gonna be really awkward and while it was awkward it was also kinda nice, having a conversation with you while neither of us were completely wasted was enjoyable, so I just thought maybe I should see were this could go, basically I wanted to get know you better" Catra finally said the reddening sky of evening making her look even more beautifully to Adora, Adora's face lightly reddened and a small smile appeared on her face. "Well here we are" said Adora as they finally reached the bus stop, "yep, well I guess you can head home now" Catra said "well, before I go one more thing" Adora said, "what" asked Catra turning to fully face Adora. Adora then leaned in and lightly kissed Catra on the cheek, after a second she moved back whispering "I'm glad you decided to see where this goes" in her ear before walking away in the direction of her dorm smiling to herself as she walked away from the bus stop. Catra stood in the same spot with her hand on her cheek till the bus came, as she sat down on a seat and the bus began to move she couldn't stop the grin that began to form on her face

(And that is another chapter done, so this gonna be the last chapter for a while since I'm gonna take short break to really think about where the story should go so hopefully it won't be too long. Anyways till next time thanks for reading, really appreciate it, see ya)
