I walked out of the office with my mom, she looked at me with her greenish yellow eyes. "It's not your fault, it's my fault for sending you here" She said in a sad apologizing voice. "It's not your fault mom, you didn't know this place was filled with wack people" I said hoping it'll make her happier. We both got into the car, I sat in the front seat next to the drivers seat which she sat in. My backpack was filled with papers and other belongings, I tossed the bag behind the seat.
My mother started the car and headed back home. She didn't have a job away from home, she was a stay home working mom which was nice because I got to spend more time with her. She had long black hair like me and slightly darker skin which I kinda have but it's more of a tan. The car was a small one, it has comfy seats and some pillows for long car rides. "I want to bring you somewhere today" She said while looking at me smiling, I smiled back and looked out the window. The car was heading down a long road by the house then took a right turn heading towards the house but not at the house. I noticed we were in the woods next to my house, I got out then my mom did.
"This is where I met your dad, he would be so proud of you right now" she said patting my back, I looked down then around. It was a open space with a couple of picnic tables and with beautiful healthy trees. "I saw him laying down here on the grass looking up at the sky, he was handsome and strong. Then soon after you came to exist" I could hear the happiness in her voice. "Then he left us, sounds like a great father" I could feel the anger I had, at my father, the schools I've been too everyone who have treated me badly. "Well I can't focus at school my ADHD messes with me and dyslexia just makes things worse. "
She took out two sandwiches and gave me one of them, it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I took a bite into it and looked around. "You have his eye color and his smile... " My mom was looking down at the ground, I could see the sadness in her eyes and the fear of loosing me. I was all she had left. I jumped into her arms and hugged her. "Thank you mom, thank you for being in my life.. " she hugged me closer to her heart.
