Lightbulb's POV

I grabbed small bugs and animals, I'm surprised none of them bit me, they were all actually really nice.

Some were fluffy and others had scales, either way it gave me joy in this situation.

I looked up to see what everyone was doing.

Knife was walking in circles with his face covered in dried blood.

Suitcase was mumbling to herself.

Maybe I should go check what she's up to.

I placed down some of the animals "Alberto, since you are the oldest you are in charge." I said to Alberto, he licked his eye so I gave him a thumbs up.

I started heading towards Suitcase, the closer I got, the more I could actually hear her, "Please stop." "Leave me alone." "No no no no.." she kept saying repeatedly.

I stopped midway, maybe I should just leave her alone.

No.

I'm already half way there so might as well continue, I started walking towards her again.

"Yo Suitcase!" I said, she jumped up and immediately turned to me, I sat next to her.

She seemed scared for a bit but soon she sighed "S-sorry, I didn't expect anyone to ya know, try and communicate with me." She said, but she mumbled the ending a bit.

"It's fine! I just wanted to check how you're doing, you seem, unsteady." I said.

She had a smile a moment ago but after I said that it dropped and she looked at the ground.

She smiled once again "It's probably the change in environment, I'll be fine."

It was easy to tell she wasn't gonna be fine but I didn't wanna force anything out of her, so I just smiled and nodded.

"Lightbulb!" I heard Fan say as I was standing up.

I looked back at him, he was walking towards me holding a cup that looked like a leaf with small sticks holding the sides together, and a bit of thin vines.

"We're going to go search and collect water, wanna come with us?" He asked, handing me a leaf cup.

"Sure!" I responded, "Let's go get with the others then." He said before he started walking away.

I was about to follow him but stopped and looked back at Suitcase, I frowned a bit, I want to help but if she doesn't want help then I couldn't really do much.

"Maybe walk around a bit, meet some new animal friends too!" I said happily.

She looked at me with tired eyes but smiled and nodded.

No POV

Lightbulb quickly caught up with Fan.

The few spoke a bit and started walking more into the jungle.

The only ones that stayed behind were Baseball, Nickel, and Suitcase.

"It feels like we've been walking for hours." Fan whined a bit.

"I'm pretty sure it's been only a few minutes." Paintbrush said.

Lightbulb was a bit behind all of them, collecting bugs, Paintbrush looked back at her.

"Lightbulb, could you catch up and stop collecting bugs, we're trying to find water not bug friends." Paintbrush groaned.

Lightbulb quickly caught up "But they all looked so lonely!" She said, bugs crawled on her arms and face.

"They're just bugs, Lightbulb." They said.

Lightbulb glared at Paintbrush a bit and just started to pet some bugs.

"Look! There's some water up ahead." TestTube said pointing at the body of water.

They all collected the water and started heading back to their base.

Knife didn't wash off the dried blood on his face, "Hey Knife, why didn't you wash off the blood?" Fan asked.

Knife looked over at him for a bit "Didn't want to contaminate the water." He said.

"You could've washed it off after we got the water though." TestTube said, after that, Knife stayed silent.
