Lightbulb's POV

TestTube and I stayed with Painty

Fan asked what was going on but we didn't want him to worry

If he even could worry anymore

His voice was still emotionless

I also wanted to cry but I'd rather do that after Painty leaves

But that's only if the dart had something harmful

Painty continued twitching for a few more moments

They soon stopped breathing...

TestTube was going to check if they still had a heartbeat, I was about to start crying

But a few seconds later they gasped

"Painty?.." I asked

They didn't respond but they tried getting up

I tried helping them up but they pushed me away quite aggressively

TestTube came over to check on me

No POV

"Are you alright?" TestTube asked Lightbulb who was on the ground

Lightbulb smiled and sat up "Yeah, I'm okay." she said

They both looked over at Paintbrush

Paintbrush was breathing quickly

Their bristles seemed to grow longer

They began to gain paws and claws, they held onto a tree, digging the new claws into it

It was easy to tell that the mutation was painful for them

Two arms grew from their sides

They sat on the ground

They used the new arms to hug themself and their other arms to hold their head

A coconut sat in a tree a bit far and watched

The coconut seemed to be happy

After a bit more of the mutation

Paintbrush stood up

They seemed fine like nothing happened but they also looked different

They seemed to have animal ears that bothered them immensely

They had four arms and a third eye

They also had a tail to keep their balance and sharp teeth, two of them poked out of their mouth when it was closed

They looked around like a cat getting to know it's surroundings

Lightbulb and TestTube just stood there, they seemed extremely confused

"Did that dart just turn my friend into a furry?" Lightbulb asked

That got Paintbrush's attention

They looked in curiosity at first until they started growling

"I think I can live with this, it's better than them being dead." Lightbulb said, she walked over to Paintbrush

Paintbrush only growled louder

Lightbulb reached to pet them but instantly got hit in the face by them

The hit also made their claws go against Lightbulb's glass, which caused a big scratch mark on her face

Lightbulb put her hand over the scratch mark and backed away
