Bassist Gerard Way states that the genre of the new album, "Work In Progress: This Isn't The Title, It's Not Decided Yet, So Don't Write This As The Album Title Because The Actual Title Hasn't Been Picked Yet, This Is Really Just A Placeholder And Is Not Final. I Repeat: This Is A Work In Progress," should be described as "Korean-style country rap with classical influences, such as Beethoven and Mozart."
