Some days, Jack and Brooklyn would laze on the sofa, eyes glued to the television screen.
With the smaller brunette playing their all-time favorite video game, the newly released Guitar Hero, Brooklyn was smashing the buttons of his guitar controller, trying to ace the expert's mode for the fifteenth time.
The pair would shout and cheer whenever the older brunette receives star power bonuses and they jammed and rocked on the familiar tune and guitar riffs of Red Hot Chili Peppers' Higher Ground.
"I'm so darn glad
He let me try it again,
'Cause my last time on earth
I lived a whole world of sin.
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then.
Gonna keep on tryin'
till I reach the highest ground."
Jack and Brooklyn held on to their breaths once they finished the song.
Brooklyn managed to complete the round---with little less than a tiny of mistake on the middle part.
Nevertheless, the pair jumped in joy when they managed to beat their previous record.
"Yes, Jack! We beat our high score!" Brooklyn shouted with barely held excitement, one fist clenching into the air while the other held on the guitar with eagerness.
"Brooky, my Guitar Hero!" Jack cheered in repeated mantra, jumping up and down on the couch, together with the smaller brunette.
Brooklyn grinned as he heard his Irish friend cheer for him, he could not help but wrap his arms around the taller boy to whom, with willingness, hugs back.
With sounds of delighted laughter echoing and as the background music of the game plays from within the television, the smaller brunette, silently muttered, "And, Jack, my number one fan."
