AT RAJASTAN
We went to Churu by Train. Unfortunately, the elder person in our Jamath from Assam had severe attack of Asthma and wanted to return to Delhi. After mashwara (discussion) we allowed him to return back.
From Churu, we had to catch a bus to Jhunjunu. The bus was already overloaded and we were asked to climb on top of the bus alongwith our bags and to my surprise, the conductor came on top in the moving bus to get the fare.
In Jhunjunu, we were directed to madina Masjid and kept our bags in a corner. The imam of the Masjid had also gone for 40 days jamath and he had appointed a temporary imam in his place, duly giving him salary from his pocket. I was impressed.
First problem
UP and Delhi brothers told that they will eat only Roti and refused rice and for us from Assam, Andhra and Tamilnadu, anything was acceptable.
Then I made three teams of 2 persons each. Two from UP, Two from Delhi, Assam brother and myself and left our vizag brother Muktar Ali to do the Bayan(speech), Elan, Talim etc., since he was the only person who knew how to perform all these responsibilities. This went on for 3 days.
Heat of summer was unbearable being desert and “Cholera” was slowly spreading in Jhunjunu.
On the fourth night, we were sleeping in the madina Masjid. At about 2 am Brother Muktar Ali woke me up and told that he was having diarrhea. I said “go to toilet”. He replied “Ameer sahib, this will be my 20th visit”. My sleep vanished and jumped up to see him slowing swooning. I ran in the dark to the Ameer sb’s house who said “your friend has HEZA, (CHOLERA) and hurried up to take him to the Govt. hospital.
When we were preparing to take him in Auto, two brothers of our jamath complained of nausea and sensation of diarrheoa. I told them to remain in the Masjid, pray 2 rakats and seek Shifa from Allah(SWT) and left for the hospital.
When muktar ali bhai was taken in a stretcher inside the hospital, he moaned, “Ameer sb., Sadqa ki niyyat karo, Dua karo”. It was a new experience for me since a married person in the death-bed would normally ask others to convey something to their family members but he was different.
Dua accepted
The first bottle of glucose was injected but the flow was kept slightly faster which resulted in severe shivering and we ran and got two three blankets and covered him and held him tightly. The Delhi brother, who accompanied us said, “Ameer sb., I have severe stomach pain, may I go back to Masjid?” I permitted him and held the blanket tightly since brother muktar ali I had to use my full force with the blankets to prevent him from shivering. Now, I felt the vomiting sensation and slowly pain in my stomach started.
When the connections of creations are cut off in a situation like this, the connection with the Creator begins!
For the first time in my life I cried silently to Allah (SWT) “ Ya Allah, if you make me also sick, there will be no one to take care of this man” Tears rolled on my cheeks and by the Grace of Allah (SWT) the entire sensation stopped abruptly. I felt that I have also become one among those who can get things done directly from Allah (SWT) through Dua ( supplications)! I remembered Qari Zaheeruddin sb’s words.
The next day also he was in the hospital, we were asked to go ahead with the jamath to a nearby village, and the local ameer saheb assured to take care of our brother.
