Six Months Later...

Claire was standing around a table with a crowd of her friends at a house party as Danny's parents' home and watched as he and the boys played a drinking game. Danny downed another cup of beer and threw his arm in the air balling his fist. "Yoohoo! Hell I love this."

Sasha was standing next to her and looked at Danny concerned. "I think it's time to get your man under control Claire."

She watched as Claire walked up to him and took him by his hand. "I think you're overdoing it a little Danny. It's enough. Time to take a break."

"Oh come on baby, just one more."

"No. Come one."

She pulled him away from the table and guided him towards the stairs guiding him all the way upstairs to his room and opened the door. "Oh I see what you mean."

"There."

"You wanna get laid." As drunk as he was he leaned forward and started kissing her with his hands all over her. "Danny, stop it. You're drunk.""Oh come on baby, stay for the night."

"No. I don't wanna get laid. Stop it. I'm calling it in for the night. I'm going home. I need to be at work tomorrow. I'll talk to you."

"You're not going anywhere baby." He tried to force himself onto her again.

"Geez, Danny. What the hell?"

"You're gonna die a fucking virgin."

"Then so be it. Might as well become a nun too." She pushed him out of the way and left upset. "And watch your damn language please."

Sasha watched Claire as she headed for the front door and rushed up to her. "Hey, where are you going?"

"I'm going home. Besides I have to work tomorrow."

"I understand."

"Keep an eye on Danny for me will you Sash?"

"Sure. See you tomorrow then?"

"See you."

Tom was already at the butchery before Claire and placed some of the cuts of meat he made earlier on the cooling shelf when Sasha entered the shop. "Good morning Mr. Slattery."

"Good morning Sasha. How are you this morning?"

"Good and you."

"Can't be any better," he replied with a smile.

"Isn't Claire coming in today?"

"She should be here any moment now." Tom turned his focus outside when he saw Claire's blue Bug roll into its usual parking space. "She's here."

Sasha turned around to look and watched as Claire got out of her car. "Great." She then turned to look at Tom again.

"What can I help you with sweetheart?"

"My mom sent me to get her some pork chops," Sasha replied with a skewed smile. "She's too lazy to come into town herself today."

"Certainly. How many?"

"Can I have four maybe? I think that should be enough." She watched as Tom took the pork chops and put it in a bag for her before he weighed it.

Just then Claire stepped into the shop. "Sash. Hi," she said surprised to see her friend there. She walked up to her and gave her a hug.

"That would be...Twenty dollars." Sasha took two ten dollars from her purse and gave it to Tom over the counter. "Do you need a receipt?"

"No, it's okay."
