Kill me… please.”
The man looks at Izuku, shock evident in his eyes. Then, before Izuku can react, he wheels around and vomits on to the floor. He wipes his mouth and turns back.
“What the actual fuck? I don’t have time to waste on crazy bastards like you!”
Izuku tilts his head.
“So is that a no…?”
The man grabs his shoulder and spins him around.
“Look, try doing something about this, and then we’ll talk!” He shoves the boy away. Do something about the door…
This was Doctor Kai’s floor, right? So maybe he had the way to start the elevator. Izuku walks towards the operating room, pushing open the door. Kai’s body is still there.
He crouches next to the stilled form and shoves a hand into the man’s pocket. Nothing. He tries the other one. Bingo -- there's a small remote inside. Izuku presses the button before standing up and walking out.
He doesn't turn around. If he did, he would have seen the doctor’s body shift. But he doesn’t, so the movement goes unnoticed.
At the elevator, the red-haired man is waiting for him.
“Did you do this?” Izuku nods, and the man laughs. “You’re pretty smart, huh? Well,” he leans down to make eye contact with Izuku. “I’m a bit of an idiot. So, I’ll make you a deal. You help me get out of here. Then, when you’re all happy about being free, I’ll kill you. Got it?” Izuku nods.
“So you really will kill me?”
“If you behave yourself, yeah. Speaking of, I have some rules. No fucking around, and no prancing around all merry-like. I see someone happy, and, well,” His pupils get small and a wicked grin forms over his face. “I just can’t help but kill them!” He giggles, but it fades upon seeing Izuku’s face. “But with that dead look in your eyes, I don’t think that’s gonna be a problem, is it?” Izuku shakes his head. “Good. Now, let’s get the hell out of here. What’s your name, anyways?”
“Midoriya Izuku.”
“Well, kid,” the man hoists his scythe up to rest on his shoulder, “I’m Dabi.”
