5 Months Later

Derek

Shante and I had gotten married three months ago. She had finally gotten the divorce papers from Anthony, we didn't do a big ceremony, we went to the justice of the peace and had our close family members there. It was perfect for us, not to big and not to small. We had our honeymoon in Jamaica and it was beautiful, I loved seeing Shante walk around in a bikini showing off her perfectly round stomach.

That woman makes me smile every day, even though the circumstances that we started our relationship were bad I wouldn't trade it for anything. She lights my life, they say "another man's trash is another man's treasure" and I'm living testimony to that. I love her more then life.

"Derek are you okay?" Shante asked walking into the baby nursery holding my cell phone. She looked cute in a hot pink fitted shirt, black leggings and matching hot pink Ugh boots. Her stomach had grown so much over the last few months, it looked as if she had swallowed a watermelon.

"Yes Tae I'm fine sorry. I was just thinking." I said hanging up more of the clothes we had just bought. We had bought so much stuff, we wanted the gender to be surprise so we bought lots of gender neutral clothes.

"Well your Mom has called for the sixth time today asking why I'm not in labor." Shante handed me the phone and sat down in the rocking chair we had put in the room. I had painted the room yellow and gotten dark brown furniture pieces to go in. Shante loved it.

"She's just excited Baby that's all." I said hanging up the last piece of clothing and shutting the closet door. "This is her first Grand baby and I know she's excited and she's mad that she can't make it here." I knelt down in front of Shante and lifted and her shirt showing her stomach.

"Derek I know that, but next time she calls you better answer the phone cause I'm liable to say something I shouldn't." I let out a laugh but I could tell Shante was serious, she had gotten moody throughout the pregnancy but I kinda liked it.

"Okay Baby." I said placing kisses on her stomach where I could see movement happening. "Tell me you love me." I said in a teasing tone.

Shante immediately smacked her lips, I let out a small laugh. "I'd love you more if you made this stubborn baby come out!! Derek I'm three days past my due date and not feeling anything. I'm never gonna have this baby." I could tell she was frustrated and the last thing I needed was for her to start crying.

"Let's go for a walk to get some ice cream and when we come back I can run you a bath and rub you stinky toes. That should help you relax." I said standing up and then giving her both my hands to grasp so she could stand.

She smiled big and rubbed her stomach. "Oh Baby can I pleeaasee get three scoops this time?" She said way to overexcited about ice cream.

"Anything for my wife." I said while placing a kiss on her nose.

We had sat at the ice cream shop for a hour and walked back home. Shante wanted to walk she was determined to go into labor. When we got home we watched "The Wood" and ordered pizza.

"I dare you to touch her booty." Shante and I said in unison mocking the movie. We both looked at each other and laughed. This was one of our favorite movies.

"Babe?" She said turning her pregnant body so she was facing me. "What do you think of Derek Jr if we have a boy? We can call him DJ." She said smiling.

I smiled at the thought of having a Jr. "I'd love that Tae. And what about Destiny for a girl?" I said tracing my finger up her thigh.

"I like it." She said biting her lower lip, I could tell I was turning her on.
