Six Years Earlier

After a 12 hour shift at the hospital I was almost off work, my mind and body were both drained. I love my job now don't get me wrong but sometimes I'm ready to walk out this damn hospital and never come back. I've been the Chief Nursing Officer at Waiser East Hospital now for three year and I'm already going crazy, but I honestly can't see myself doing any other job.
I headed to my office from my last meeting of the day thinking about my piece of chocolate cake and wine I have have waiting for me at home. I cant wait to get home and soak in the tub, and relax. I started walking faster to my office just from the thoughts I was having. I opened up the door to my office feeling anxious and was surprised to see a bouquet of red roses sitting on my desk. I picked up the card from the flowers and read:
Come to the SunSet at 6. Come as you are.

I held the roses up to my nose and smiled, I lobed the smell of fresh flowers. Anthony was always trying to be romantic and I love that about him, we've been together for almost two years now and he still knows how to keep a spark in our relationship. I picked up the flowers and looked at the time I had thirty minutes to get to SunSet Mall.
I parked my car at the main entrance to the mall and got out my car, I started to look around and couldn't see Anthony anywhere and walked to a bench to wait for him him to come. It was still a little before six so I was on time, I had to speed almost the entire drive.
"Aye.... Aye.... Your name Shante? You Anthony's girl?" Some guy in a white shirt with a Yankee's hat on was yelling from across the parking lot. He walked over to me holding a small blue box with white ribbon wrapped around it.
"Yes." I said unsure of what the hell was going on. I took the box out his hand and just looked at.
"Anthony told me to wait here and give that to you. He said you drive a black Benz, would be in scrubs and would show up at the last minute." We both started to laugh at the last part. "Hurry up Girl, you gonna be late." I opened up the small box fast and read the note written on the paper.

I smiled and ran to the direction of the mall, I turned back around to the guy that gave me the box. "Thank you!" I screamed trying to run and talk at the same time.
"Good luck, you two will look great together." He said turning around and walking away.
I made into the mall and it was packed, people were everywhere. I could barley make out where I was going the crowd was so bad. I made it to the elevator and pressed the button for the third floor. Someone had written A&S on the wall in the elevator and it me me smile. Anthony & Shante. I took a deep breath when I got off the elevator and seen Neiman Marcus right when I stepped off.
I walked into the store and was greeted by a nice blonde women that looked to be about my age. "Shante, its nice to meet you." She said stepping from behind the register and walking towards me. She wore all black and had her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail.
"Hello." I said back to her, Anthony really went out his way for this to happen.
"Mr. Piers said that you would be coming in, we have everything you need already paid for. I was also instructed to give you this." She handed me a hotel room key and a large box and bag that she pulled from under the counter.
