Erin's pov.

My eyes locked with the golden ones.
My heart stoped my breathing slowed.
And my wolf whispered "Mate"

All I could see was red after that word. My eyes widened and my jaw clenched.

Clearly there was a mistake my wolf could not have said mate.

It was impossible I was not supposed to have a mate.

But there he was. Standing in all his glory.

Black hair that was wet from the stormed danced atop his head, showing bright against his ghostly pale skin. Thick brows lined his forehead just above his yellow eyes which were now a soft blue that he had calmed his wolf. He wore a all black suit with fitted his body in all the right ways. His high cheek bones and sharp jaw twitched as he watched my muscles stiffen at the sight of him.

I️I was the first to speak. He would not get that satisfaction to claim me as his in front of my pack elders and fellow Alphas.

"No." I spoke loudly and clearly, my once tired state had vanished and now was replaced with a strong distaste for the man in front of me.

"No?" He questioned his brow raising. He clearly knew what I was about to do because before I️I could say It he stoped and growled a low.."Mate."
The crowed gasped as Alphas faces fell from a feeling of hopelessness at the sight of what they hoped to be their future Luna being claimed by this Alpha male.

I️ didn't know this Alpha, if I had then I would have rejected him long ago but tonight was my first of seeing him but not of hearing about him.
Little did I know The man that stood at the stairs just below me was Alpha Ryder Half-Moon. Alpha of the RedMoon pack.

The man who was claiming lands left and right, taking lives and packs over and over again. Was standing there claiming to be my mate.

But I had no idea who he was. In my home he was a strange Alpha with no authority here.

I stood tall I was not going to submit.

"You are no mate of mine." I spoke. His eyes fixed on me.

One of my elders soon approached the stairs. "Alpha Ryker May I introduce our Alpha...Alpha Erin." They spoke

His eyes lit up at the sound of the elders calling me Alpha, I guess he didn't know who I was either.

He took a breathe "Alpha..Erin." The sound of my name rolling off his tongue sent shivers down my spin.

Yup he was my mate that's for sure.

"Alpha.. Ryker.." I countered him, I didn't like him having the power over me to just speak and have me weak in the knees.

I am not about to go down without a fight.

The elders looked between the two of us. Before they spoke. "We will show you to your room Alpha Ryker. Im sure you and Alpha Erin need some rest before you discuss." She paused "This." She gestured between us. A growl came from my throat causing everyone in the room to shift uncomfortably.

I turned once more and made my way up the stairs knowing that after tonight everything would change in my world. And I was not happy about it.

Stepping out of the shower for the third time today I turned to my closet.

A pair of grey shorts sat on the floor and a large grey t-shirt awaited me in its respective drawer.

As I was combing my wet hair through, the scent of mint made its way to my nose.

I knew exactly what this was. Before I could even blink I was in the hall outside my suite staring into a pale set of blue eyes.

His hair was tossed to one side while his suits tie was undone and still dripping wet from the storm. He had a tired look on his face before it lifted when his eyes landed on me.

"Alpha.." he said calmly. My heart ached at my title being used. My wolf wined wishing her mate would refer to us by our name.

Pulling myself back up from this trance I had found myself in I looked at where he was standing.

The suite next to mine.

That was the mating wing or as my parents referred to it ... their room. My heart ached thinking of them. While their room held no sentimental value to me I knew exactly what was happing. The elders had given him the room for the night knowing I would not welcome him into mine. "Am I safe to assume you are up here thanks to my elders?" I questioned him.

His face displayed no emotion as he spoke. "My beta took the last room in the guest wing, they sent me here." H e shrugged glancing at the door to his right and then back at me.

I nodded. The room he stood in front of was meant for my pups.. our pups. The elders knew this just as my room was meant for when my mother was Alpha.

I turned back to my door opening it slightly before he spoke again.

His body stiffened as my door opened. Most likely because my sent was leaching out of the room. He growled slightly. I turned back to him slightly, only to realize that he was no longer standing by m parents door but now he was standing right in front of me.

He had to be 6ft or more because he towered over me his presence could make any wolf submit, he radiated sheer power. But I was not just some wolf.

"What is this?" he snapped pointing at the shirt I was wearing. His eyes now a golden color. His wolf I noted.

My eyes drew down looking at my shirt. It was a plain grey t-shirt. Nothing abnormal except for one thing that came to mind. This was one of my betas shirts. We often gifted each other with clothing to ward off other unmated males and females. This was normal for us seeing as neither of us wanted a mate.

This was the situation I had wished I would never be in. I look back up at my mate. "A shirt." I responded my voice held strong. His eyes deepened in their golden color. "Who's?" He snapped.

"My beta" I answered calmly turning to enter my room. Before I could even think my shirt was being dragged upwards by the collar. I stared shocked at my mate who was now pulling me to look at him. I felt like a pup about to be scolded by its mother.

"He has no claim to you anymore. I don't care what he was. Your chosen, your lover, or even your husband. He is not allowed to have what is mine." He growled out baring his teeth.

I raised my brow before taking his hand from my shirt. This caused sparks to shoot up my arm. I knew he felt the same.

"You have no authority over my pack members or me." I spoke calmly.

Before I could shut the door to my room a heard him speak once more before turning away. "Not yet, but I will."

I chuckled at this. We will see alpha... we will see.
