Erins. Pov

Mint

That was the smell of my room when I awoke, remembering last night I turned to see that my mate was no longer beside me in my bed. The wall of pillows that separated us through the night was now on the floor. I narrowed my eyes at the sight of this.

My gaze shifted though when I heard a noise coming from my closet. Slowly getting up I made my way towards the door to my closest that was slightly ajar.

My breathing hitched as I looked in through the crack in the door.

There in all his glory was my mate, shirtless, and staring at my cloths.

I burst through the door with intention of screaming when I came to a halt. His eyes snapped to me and a blank expression played on his face.

"My beta came this morning I didn't want to wake you. The dresser was filled I thought I would hang a few things." He ended giving me a look up and down.

Was he? Checking me out? I was still in my sweats and giant t-shirt, my hair was a mess and my eyes had bags under them.

I was not a sight to be hold.

"You wear a lot of men's cloths, and baggy t-shirts." He commented. "None of these had the scent of a male from what I can tell, except for those." He pointed to a pile of shirts on the ground. All which belonged to Ezer.

"Your point?" I murmured trying to keep my morning voice from coming out.

"I want you to get rid of those, my wolf doesn't like the." His eyes narrowed at me.

"Yea that's kinda the point of having them." I snapped back at him. He was taken a back for a moment before he began stalking towards me.

My eyes widened as I began to back up. Just as I thought the door behind me would save me by being open, but my back hit the wall next to the door.

His hands slammed on the wall trapping me within them. My eyes met his as he glared down at me.

This was the second time in three days that he had me cornered. I felt weak, I felt like a Luna. I was not a Luna. I glanced towards the door hoping to get out of this by escaping through it. Only the door was no longer open. His hand had taken ahold of the doorknob and slammed it shut.. Locking it has he put his hands back next to my head in one swift motion.

Shit.

" Now Erin." He said, my name rolling off his tongue. He hadn't said it before now without my title in front of it. But I guess since we were mates he had the right to say it.

But only for six months I reassured myself.

"I am going to give us a shot. But being mates is not a one-way street. You have to try as well. That means you can't be denying me for the next six months the Elders expect you to try... and so do I." He ended, his eyes searching mine for hope.

I narrowed my eyes back at him. "Ok, Ryker. Ill play this mate game with you. But don't get to upset when in six months you find yourself a packless rouge." I snapped

His eyes shifted to gold. His wolf...

"I am your mate. I will win you over even if it kills me." He growled his hands clenched into fists on the wall. I stared at him in utter shock. "I am not a prize to be won." Before another word was spoken his hand smashed into the wall behind me. I gasped.

Something landed on my foot, which I thought for a moment, was just a piece of the wall that had come off. But I looked down horrified at what I saw .
