I want to cry. I want to lay down on my dirty cot and sob for an eternity, it is happening. The worst is near, I can't help but stifle a sob as the cries of the Abnegation ring out from beyond the walls of Marcus's house.

It is only a matter of time before they infiltrate this home. I lean over to Tobias, "My parents." The words come out like a desperate plea. Tobias kisses my cheek gently and whispers in my ear, "I have a plan."

I follow Tobias upstairs and am lead to what must have been his bedroom as a child. Marcus comes running after us. Suddenly interested in what we have to say. Tobias reaches under his bed and pull out a small trunk. I look around, this room is exactly like every other room in every other Abnegation house, the only thing that catches my eye is a crystal blue sculpture lying on the simple wooden desk.

I heard clink and turn back to the now open chest. Broken objects lay scattered inside. To any untrained eye, they would be garbage. But to a fellow Abnegation rebel, these are treasures. A broken spyglass, smashed into mist and pieces, dents beyond recognition. This was Tobias's first sign of not belonging here, of wanting more than just fitting in. I envy his courage to hide such sacred treasures inside such a pristine Abnegation home.

We don't have much time, I can see the Dauntless draw nearer, no house or body has been soiled with murderous blood yet, but the terrified yells of the humble Abnegation shake me to my core.

"We will go out pretending to be Dauntless soldiers. They are being controlled by mind control serum, when I was working in the control room, I saw Jeanine Mathews and max discussing....." "Get on with it!" Marcus snaps. Tobias glares at him. "I will be right back." He says. He pulls Marcus by his collar and drags him into another room. I hear a door slam and lock, along with the words "This is for your own good."

My hands shake when Tobias comes back in. His father told him that before every beating as a child, I saw it in his fear simulation. Tears sting his bloodshot eyes as he continues to search inside the small chest. I take his hands and slip them around my waist. "Tobias." I whisper, brushing his un groomed hair behind his ears. I fit my lips to his, taking in everything about him. I embrace his physical strength, and his mental weaknesses. That is why we are perfect for one another, we care for each other as wholes, not bits of pieces of things that we wish to change about one another, but the whole human being. This is love.

I press one last kiss on his lips before letting him return to search through the box. Tears mark both of our eyes now, we know what is coming. We know what is bound to happen, and we know that it won't be good.

The sun sets, leaving a mere outline of the impending doom of Dauntless soldiers along the horizon. Tobias pulls out two dauntless looking outfits, and we begin our plan.
