Autumn Faith was still gazing through the window. The blades of grass flickered in the gentle breeze.
A man entered the room and tapped the shoulder of the woman who had called Autumn for breakfast.
"I'll take things from here" said the man, calmly.
The woman went away.
The man came closer to Autumn and tapped her on the shoulder.
Autumn turned to look.
"Hello Autumn!", said the man.
"Who are you people?"
The man replied, "Question is, Autumn, do you know who YOU really are?"
"Of course I do", said Autumn. "I'm...", she hesitated. Things were not quite normal. Even herself. She was different.
The man smiled. "What would you like to call me?"
Autumn replied, "'Stranger', I'll call you 'Stranger'"
"Fair enough", said Stranger. "What do you see, when you look outside of that window, Autumn?"
"I see the absence of Hope", she replied in a sad tone yet seemingly calm in some strange way. "The world, it seems, will be plunged into a pit of despair."
Stranger spoke, calmly still, "Your full name is Autumn FAITH. So, Miss Faith, HAVE faith. Faith in your RECOVERY."
"Recovery?", said Autumn, confused slightly. She felt fine. Younger, smaller, but otherwise fine. "The world is DOOMED, unless I do something about it! The WORLD needs recovery. I need to recover SALVATION", asserted Autumn.
"You'd do better if you focussed on your SELF first. You'd be better if you didn't take on the burden of worrying about the salvation of the entire world. Take care of YOU. Miss Autumn Faith." Stranger smiled.
Autumn's tummy rumbled.
Stranger said, "Speaking of which, you don't want to miss the delicious breakfast. Hurry before it gets cold!"
