Chapter X

-Skyla POV-

We went to the gym with the others and sat down to see fencing practice, obviously Nico joined, since

they put him on the team, he is very happy. They put on the masks and started practicing. Until Chad stood at one of the banks and began to say

"HEAR ALL! I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT! DE VIL IS IN LOVE WITH DI ANGELO!". When I listened, I wanted to send him to Tartarus myself, so I got up to put it in place until I heard.

"So what if it's true?" I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing, but then I remembered that he was under the effects of the spell and realized that he probably wouldn't say that.
"YOU WON'T HAVE ENOUGH SCHOOL TO RUN CHARMING!" He grabbed his sword and ran after Chad. So Pan and I returned to our rooms.

-Pan POV-

After Nico has taught Chad a lesson he and I went to the same room, as we always gathered there to talk about homework and the upcoming parties. Skyla suddenly entered the room in a state of some shock. "What's up, did you see a closet full of pink dresses or what?" He teased her. Skyla took a deep breath. "Carlos invited me on a date". We were both surprised. I got up from the chair

"Well, then you will need to dress up, prepare yourself

and ..."

"Make up time!" Evie opened the door just when Pan was going to finish talking. Evie seemed very excited about the fact that I was going on a date with Carlos.

"I knew that deep down he felt something for you, the way he always helped you and looked at you, what a beautiful couple you are" Evie was so happy about that as she spoke she was jumping.

-Skyla POV-

Nico and Pan looked at me with a face like telling me: 'I told you so.'

"Well, I think I'll leave, after all, I promised Celia that I would help her getting some clients" Nico seemed excited about it and left the room. Pan and Evie looked at me and smiled at me. An hour later

I was wearing makeup, combed, and of course, with a braid prettier than the one I had before.

"Go ahead, look in the mirror" Evie said with a smile. I was quite changed. And instead of my casual clothes I had a very nice outfit.

"If you like it, you can keep it, I did it" Evie was very happy of her creation. I thanked her and hugged her. Suddenly someone knocked on the door and Pan opened it.

"Um, Skyla you're ready ... Oh, wow, you look ... Pretty" It was Carlos. I smiled at him for that comment and went to the door. Evie and Pan wished me luck before I left, and we went to Enchanted Lake walking. There, there was a whole picnic near the lake, there were fruits of all kinds and sandwiches. Carlos grabbed my hand and led me there, we both sat down. "Tell me something you never told anyone" Carlos told me. "Well ... I'm afraid of heights." When I said that, Carlos laughed and said,

"Well, I thought that if a VK was afraid of heights, it was silly, but now I see that I am not the only one." Suddenly, Carlos got up and took off his shoes and got into the water splashing me. I laughed and did the same. Obviously we were both

in the shallow end since we didn't know how to swim, well ...

"Carlos, do you know how to swim?" I asked curiously. He blushed a little and replied

"I can dog-paddle" We both started laughing at that comment.

-Evie POV-

I asked Pan if she wanted to come with me to 'spy on them'.

"But isn't that bad?"Pan asked me.

"Not if it's a nice thing like this". In the end I convinced her and we went to Enchanted Lake and hid behind some bushes. They were splashing in the lake and pushing each other. Carlos's attitude towards all this still seems odd to me, a few days ago he couldn't even say hello to Skyla, and now, he suddenly invited her on a date.

--Somedays ago--

I'm still baffled about why the boys were making cookies at that time of night, but hey. I entered my room and found Mal awake.

"Evie, what were you doing at this time outside the room?" she asked.

"Oh, I just went to grab something to eat" I showed her the apple "And you, why are you awake?".

"I was thinking and, I think someone stole my book from the museum. Yesterday Ben and I went to the museum and my book wasn't there"

-Skyla POV-

We were splashing each other in the lake for a while until we were completely soaked. We sat back down to eat something and I noticed that Carlos had put his jacket on my shoulders. I looked at him and smiled.
