Chapter Three

I woke up this morning feeling very uneasy, maybe it was the weather, it's near rainy season I guess, or maybe I'm just hungry. Hmm. I went to the bathroom to fix myself, it only took me 15 minutes to shower plus dressing up and 30 seconds for make up, and that only consists of a little bit of powder, shallow eyeshadow, light mascara and chapstick. I jogged downstairs to see a door flying off, it was my brother running to get to Max's car. They do that everyday, it's not much of a new thing for me. Meanwhile I walk because it's only 10 minutes away. I grabbed some of my Mom's toast and ate it like a pig, not that I'm bragging but my mom has a different way of making toasts which will really make you a pig. Honestly. The food that I just ate kept making sounds while I walk, and I'm not sure if it means that I'm still hungry or it's digestion. Either way I'm still in good shape, i guess, I'm not feeling ill, so I have that going for me. I looked to the sky and it's still grey, like a storm is coming but not really, the type of weather that people call cuddle weather and the only cuddle I do is with my bed, it's not that bad at all.

I got to school on time and I saw the majestic four talking to their other peasants in the hallway bragging about how rich they are, oh wait, I didn't mean they, I meant Max and Dylan. They're like ultra super mega rich, but their parents just want to live a simple life, yeah, their parents only desired that life, but they didn't get their simplicity. Talking about how they bought these popular stocks, enterprises and other highly sold stuff. I could hear them, because they're just like 10 feet away from me and my beloved locker, and I pray to God they don't notice me, let them be busy with bragging. I put my books in my locker and grabbed some of the first subjects. I took a quick glance at them and saw Max looking at me. I tensed and my heart pumped faster than usual, my body stiffened and I was getting sweaty, I don't know why I react like this but it happens when he looks at me. But I let it slip and let courage take over me. I looked away with an annoyed face. But was it fear? maybe it was, or maybe it's something else.

"Marie!" Tricia popped out of the blue

"T-Tricia, I didn't notice you th- oh my god!" I said staring at her, it's such a huge change without her glasses, she became more prettier.

"What?" Tricia asked holding her books

"Nothing, you're just different than ever" I said adjusting my perspective with her

"Oh come on, it's still me, don't be so over reacting" She said with a grin. Her eyes were clear and it emphasized her crystal eyes. Wow, who knew contacts could do that.

"Yeah, you're right, you're still smart, and cute, sometimes wild and crazy, but still cute" I pointed out and she smiled. I saw Jace was on his way towards us with a not so happy face.

"I swear to God I'd never attend a family reunion ever again" He said breathing heavily

"Why what happened? They didn't torture you, right?" Tricia asked giggling

"No, but it felt like it" He stared at her noticing the difference "Oh you didn't-" he said pointing to her face like there was a fly.

"No, I changed to my contacts" Tricia said

"Really? Hmm. Not much of a difference though" He said

"Are you kidding? Am I the only one who felt uneasy about her not wearing her signature glasses?" I said

"Uhh yeah, it's still like her with glasses.... but invisible" Jace said

"Ugh great" I sighed

"So what happened with you? Why are you so madly aggressive today?" I asked

"It's just that I felt so out of place there. There weren't people at my age so how can I communicate with them? It was so devastating, oh- and the food was horrible, it's like blended vegetables, ugh. I hate it. Then they asked me if I had a girlfriend, I said no, and they laughed blurting loser from their mouths. It's just plain bullying!" He stopped with a sweat coming from his forehead.
