Chapter 8

Mikenzie's POV

The sun rose and everyone was up and about as I made my way into the mess hall for breakfast.

I grabbed some tea, it was pretty shit but at least it's decent thing I like. I grabbed a bowl of hot porridge.

"Thank you"I say before turning around and sat at an empty table. I slowly ate by myself.

"Mind I join you bff"Hanji says with a grin.

"By all means"I say as I ate.

"So are you excited for today?"She asked. "You get to show off those fighting skills of yours I've heard about"

"Fuck yeah"I say with a grin as she laughs. She holds her fist out for me. I sighed accepting. After breakfast and of course cleaning

I joined Levi squad followed him, Mike and Hanji as they were going test my skills which I'm glad I can get back into training.

"I wanna see how you got the best score brat"Levi says as I finished buckling up the gear. I unsheathe my swords. I closed my eyes and cracked my neck from side to side. I feel myself smirk.

"Ready?"Hanji asked raising the flare with the green signal. I nod. That's when she fired and off I went flying into the forest.

I came upon a fake titan and I cocked my arms back and easily cut the nap off. I smirked coming across a couple more.

I used the tree for a boost and pushed myself towards the fake titan with a twirl weak spot and aced it. I continued till I got all 26 dummies.

I finished with a flip in the air before landing on the ground with a crouch next to shorty. I stood up and met his wide eyes.

"Nice work Cadet"Levi says slightly impressed. I smiled with a bow.

"No-Ugh!"someone lifting me up into their arms and shook me about.

"THAT WAS AWESOME Zie!"Hanji yelled as I huffed.

"Put me down"I say sourly and she put me down with a pout.

"Yosh you two were meant for ea-Ow son of a bitch!"I had stepped on her foot shut her up.

"Let's just get to the next task"I say with an annoyed frown.

The next task was hand to hand combat. My favourite.

"Line up all of you"Levi says and we all do as all the Cadets were out. "Petra choose your component"

That brat came to the centre and scanned everyone and moved her eyes to me and smirked cockily.

"That weakling"She says and I smirked darkly. I stood in the centre opposite.

"You got this Kenzie"I hear Eren say as others went for Petra who got into her stance as I stood there with one hand in my pocket staring into her soul.

"Ready to die?"She asked getting annoying, she had the wooden dagger in her back pocket.

"Begin"Levi says as I could feel his eyes on me the whole time. she ran full speed at me and goes to throw a punch and I spun raising my foot up blocking her fist, with my hand still in my pocket.

Petra blinked in surprised and I smirked with triumph.

"Oooo"I hear the crowd.

She shook her head and kept punching as I kept using my legs for kicking her attacks away.

I got onto my hands and spun fast getting her off her stance and did a quick sweep of the leg and I got back up on my feet with a flip and backed away.
