Mikenzie's POV

I hum quietly as I walked inside. Mike greeted me and I'm pretty sure I heard a growl but I shrugged putting my things away in my room. I paused seeing a box on my bed. I sat down on my bed and see a note on top of the box.

For My Kenzie's eyes only to read.

It had read but I looked at the flowers I had gotten for Cora-san's grave. I smiled as the memories still occur.

Flashback

Levi and I had walked around the markets and I see a flower store.

"Ah I need bouquet of flowers"I say pointing to the shop and Levi looked.

"Tch What are they for? Me?"Levi asked with a bored tone.

"Yeah totally, I just love being the man of the relationships"I say rolling my eyes, I hear him snort. "No it's to pay my respects for Cora-san's grave"

"Oh nice thinking, I'm sure he'd like that from his favourite person in the word"Levi says and I smiled slightly. We both went to the flower store and I looked at all of the colours and I decided to bunch up a heap of colours that fit Cora-san.

"Excuse me I'd like to buy these"I say to the lady. She smiled widely before eyeing me.

"Your that demon that everyone's talking about get away from my store!"She demands. For the first time I felt hurt that called me demon, though before I can speak Levi pushed me behind him while glaring.

"Tch this Demon has been risking her life to save humanity you ungrateful bitch!"Levi shouts making people get our attention. My eyes widened at this.

He's defending me once again?

"Why you-

"Hmm its a shame because I'd used to be a pirate and what's a pirates weakness again?"I say the woman looked at me as I pull out a ruby, her eyes widened at the small yet hefty ruby. Even Levi's eyes widened. "This would've made your business at its finest...but you want me to leave Then alright"

With that I turned around as I begin to walk away with Levi.

"Wait!"We hear and I turned to see the woman frowning yet looked desperate. "I'm sorry I'll let you buy the flowers"

"Thank you but for treating your customers like this or should I say hero's I'm only giving you a gold piece"I say giving her exactly what I said before taking the flowers. I tilt my new hat. "Good day"

With that we left in two to the horse carriage.

"How'd you that Ruby?"Levi asked as we waited for Hanji whom ran off again. I smirked.

"Pirate life"I say. "The good thing about that, Cora-san and I found an island to rest up on, me being curious I went up to a mountain it was jackpot"

"So you have gold?!"Levi asked in awe.

"Yes and Sake, a pirates greatest weakness"I say smirking. I closed the curtains from peeping eyes. I grabbed a small sack from my pocket. I gave it to him.

"Tch what's this?"Levi asked looking at me. I smiled.

"Open it"I say and he does slowly only to go eye wide at the amount of gold and jewels. "You can have it"

"Tch I can't-

"Yes you can, I have a lot where that came from so don't worry"I say. He slowly smiled before pulling me into a hug. I felt my face heat up.
