Forluce's POV
I growled, splitting the metal bars but, a human suddenly pushed the gun, the bullet reached only Andret's right arm. I sighed and pinned the Guard down, ripping his rifle from his hands and snapping it like a twig. I growled and my jaws clamped around his throat, I thrashed about and threw him. My arms scooped up the injured and unconscious worgen. I looked to the human who smiled, her blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, and pale skin were all flawless. Her hands glowed softly as she healed Andret's wounded arm but, it did not fully close.
"I am Jade, and I'm a Mage.... I am a human, is this your sweetheart sir?" She asked as I held Andret bridal style, I slowly set her down and shook my head.
"No, I just met her but, unlike you humans, we care for our kind.. Feral or not, we are family.."
Jade giggled and began to walk slowly towards me, I jerked back and growled, standing over Andret with a protective instinct towards her.
"Hurt her, and you'll end up like that guard who's lucky I didn't rip his throat out!" I growled louder as my green eyes burned with passion and ferocity. The human girl laughed and smiled.
"I'd never hurt her.. Not with someone like you protecting her.. Be too hard.. I simply was ensuring that more worgens like you didn't get killed for talking to you.. How many of your pack or friends were wiped out, worgen or not, for speaking with you?"
I looked away and signed. "19... It would of been 20 if it weren't for you.. I am grateful but, why did you help me if you knew I was a threat, I could of made it just fine out of that cage with the willpower and drive I had.."
"Well. If I wouldn't of been here, she would have a bullet through the heart and a dead body next to her of a guard and his mastiff. I'm glad I was here now, what's your name and what's hers?"
I growled as I spoke, "I'm Forluce, she's Andret.." I sighed and looked to the limp worgen's body. She was still breathing but, faintly. I picked her up and carried her. Jade ran behind me and was screaming in my ears about where I was going, what I was doing. I had a one track mind... Get her to Krennan's cottage, if that bullet is in her too long, it could cause lead poisoning and she could die... I didn't want that.. I was drawn to her and she seemed drawn to me.. I was fortunate Jade was there when she was, or else she would of been killed. And I would of never lived with myself..
As we reached the house, Krennan rushed to me and a worried look crossed his face. "Andret! What happened to her?" He gripped the worgen girl and placed her on a cot.
"She was shot by a guard... Her and I were talking. It was Guard Lee, him and his mastiff were doing rounds when he saw Andret.. I suspect he thought she was a Feral or, was an outsider.."
Krennan called Jade over, beginning to heal her with magic and potions. I noticed Liam Greymane walked in and ran to Andret's side. Gripping her paw in his hands and petting her face softly. I growled in my throat and felt someone grab my collar and drag me. I saw it was Godfrey, four guards restrained me and locked me in the cellar. Where all newly captured worgens would be until moved to the stockade for testing and, then, to the cages. I did not fight, I knew Krennan and Jade would not let Andret pass. But, as for Godfrey.. I wish he would pass...
4 Hours Later....
Andret's POV
I fluttered my eyes open, I shot up and gasped in pain as I looked to my bandaged shoulder, I felt a chain on my neck rattle and realized it was a large silver band. Made of steel, it's engravings of tribal wolf heads were beautiful. A dark figure emerged from the shadows. It was Liam.
"It was your fathers.. He told me to give it to you when he died.. I promised I'd protect you and that I'd ensure that you would get out of Gilneas and live somewhere more peaceful.. In Alliance territory but, no one can get there without getting killed by the Forsaken.. As of now, no place is safe.."
