After School
It was busy after a school day for the members of the Track & Field club, since they're training for the competition at the middle of the year.
But, it was busier for Midorikawa Asahina. The Ace of the Track & Field Club.
Asahina was a very attractive girl, but not in your typical pretty girl way. It was a more manlier type of attractive.
Her red and short hair always called the attention of the girls of the club. Her face has very masculine features, like her rough red eyes that always scared kids and animals alike. A very singular feature was that she always had a band-aid in her right cheek, why? She said that band-aid makes her look more cool.
But the prettiest feature of her face were that meaty and kissable red lips of her.
Even with all those traits, the boys seems to ignore , and even be scared of her. They seem to prefer a Yamato Nadeshiko level of pretty.
The training of an Ace in the Track & Field Club of the Aozora Gakuen (That was the name of her school) wasn't easy, with a rough training plan, and a rougher diet plan. She was always late and very tired at her home.
THE NEXT DAY.
Before School.
The school hall was very noisy with all the voices coming out of the students.
Asahina was talking with her friends Kaoru Kaede, a very popular girl, that had a very large brown hair, but the more relatable feture was her big bust, that seems to be very popular with boys in the classes.
And her other friend Inoue Mariko, a serious girl, but kind with her friends and classmates. Her hair was mid-back long black, and her eyes were covered by black and circular glasses.
"So how is Ace-San" Asked Kaede while they were changing shoes
"Hey, don't call me that" Said Asahina while opening her locker "I'm still tired for yesterday train-" Suddenly something came out of the locker and fell to the ground.
"What's this?" Said Mariko confused, and went to the thing, that thing turned to be a letter envelope, which in the cover said 'To Midorikawa Asahina'. " Oh, i know what's this.
!IT'S A LOVE LETTER¡" Mariko screamed, Kaede and Asahina seemed dumbfounded since that was out of character to her.
"Don't scream like tha-. Wait, you said it was a love letter?" Kaede questioned. Getting a nod of Mariko "Really, to our Hina 'Ace'-Chan" Asked again, getting a stronger nod out of her.
"!KYAAAAAHHHH¡" Both of them screamed at the same time "So? What are you waiting for? Open the letter" Said Kaede handing her the letter.
"Calm down, it's just a lette-" Asahina was saying until Kaede interrupted.
"!WHAT ARE YOU SAYIN'¡ 'it's just a letter' MY ASS, IT'S YOUR FIRST LOVE LETTER, so? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? OPEN THE DAMN LETTER" Kaede coughed after a long time screaming.
"Okay, okay, i'll open the shitty letter, don't need to scream like that *jeez*" Then Asahina proceeded to open the envelope and read the letter, which with a clumsy handwriting said.
"Dear Midorikawa Asahina-San of the classroom 2-B
Meet me in the rooftop, during lunch break, thanks for your time"
"That was very formal. What would you do?, it didn't see like the handwriting of a girl, like usually happened to you. So, it's probably a boy" Marika asked.
"I will meet him, and kindly reject him"
"I think 'kindly' and 'reject' don't fit in the same sentence. But, why are you gonna reject him? It's your first love letter of a boy" Kaede said to her.
"Yeah, i know but in this moments i don't have time for a relationship, i'm very busy training for the competition"
"Are you sure? *sigh* i won't discuss with the person who received the letter" *Ding Dang Dong Dang* The school bell rang, indicanding the start of classes.
During classes.
Kaede and Mariko turned to see Asahina, but they only to see her calm.
But, they didn't know that inside her head she was very nervous and worried 'What if is a trick or his friends challenged him to confess to a girl'
Midorikawa Asahina was so inside her thoughts, that she didn't press attention to the classes.
Lunch Break.
"So? Are you really sure? You aren't gonna give him a opportunity to him" Kaede said one more time.
"I already said it, aren't we?" Asahina said again, even getting angry to her friends.
"Okay, we will leave you to it" Kaede said ona last time before she sighed.
"Alright then, i'm leaving now"
"Have a safe trip" both said to her.
The road to the stairscase to the third floor, and then to the rooftop were infinite to her, she was more nervous than when she was in class. She knew that she was gonna reject him, but, she don't know how, what if when she reject him, he start to hate her, and then start nasty rumours about her. She was scared, very scared.
And then.
She reached the stairs to the rooftop, there she was, twelve steps to reach the person that (probably) gonna hate her, or trick her. And when she was midway in the stairs she thought 'Why on lunch break and not after school?', since that was the more common way to confess in the animes and manga, that she often read. And why on the rooftop and not behind the school since that was the more common place to express the feelings of one to another.
That's when her thoughts if not worsened the situation said 'What if he (or she) throw me off the rooftop and then have more opportunities to win the competition'
Asahina touched her forehead (that was covered by her red hair) and she felt a cold liquid, she saw her hand and thougt 'im sweating cold.... And !!!my hand is trembling¡¡¡'
*Inhale* *exhale* 'Okay Midorikawa Asahina, you need to calm down, don't make a tornado out of a little wind, maybe he's a normal person who only is gonna confess his feelings towards you. And when you reject him, he's gonna be so sad to go to class, and then he's gonna repeat grade, and then he's gonna be expelled for being abscent, lost opportunities of job, become a homeless and he's gonna live under a bridge, and die of hunger.
And all that because you rejected him in High School.'
She was in front of the door towards the rooftop. Behind that door was him or her (in that moment she wasn't sure).
She gulped a little of saliva, and then, she extended her hand towards the door knob. And turned it to the right.
The door made a sound, meaning that the door was open.
And there he was, bowed in front of the door, screaming said
"MIDORIKAWA ASAHINA-SAN, I LOVE YOU, PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME.
