Twenty - Nine

"Hello. We are the replacement officers," Corrine says. The two officers posted in front of James's hospital room nod and walk off. "Have a good day." Corrine looks at Colin, "this better fucking be worth it. Which I really don't think it is. She clearly doesn't want you. Billie literally moved across the country to get away from you Colin."

       Colin sends her an icy glare. "Whatever just keep watch." He walks into the room to find them all asleep. James lies snuggled up to Cleo and Buck lies in the other. Colin watches over her small body curled around Cleo's protectively. He stands over her and breathes in her air. "Get up Billie," he says in a low growl. She stirs for a moment before her mind registers what's happening. Silent and terror filled she does as she's told.

       "Please don't hurt them. I'll do as you say just please don't hurt them," she quietly begs.

       "If you come with me I let them live," Colin waves a knife at Buck and Cleo. "Just to make sure you do," Colin walks up to Buck and pushes the knife into his abdomen. James gasps. "That's what you get for fucking Billie." James cries and begs him to just take her. "Shut up Billie. If I can't have you. No one will." Colin grabs her arm and drags her out of the hospital room and down the hall.

"Where are we going, Colin?"

"What did I say Billie? Shut the fuck up!" His anger and frustration rises with every word. "Get in the car. Drive Rin," he says sliding into the front seat. Corrine hits the gas and drives to a hotel. "I'll see you in a couple hours. I've got business to attend to." Colin says to Corrine.

      "Where are we going? I think I've popped a stitch Colin," James cries.

       "Find her," Buck demands swatting at the doctor trying to stitch him up. "She's with that psycho and has major injuries." The doctor continues to stitch up Buck.

      "Think Buck, what did they say? Is there anything you can tell us! They've been gone for an hour. We need to find them fast," Athena says.

        "Where are they? Where's my daughter? Where's my baby?" Marcus calls running down the hall. "Buck what the hell happened?"

       "Colin escaped. He took James. He took her and stabbed me in the stomach. Cleo is fine. She's asleep at Maddie's house," Buck says fighting tears of frustration. "I don't know. I just saw her terrified and begging him to leave us and to take her instead. She's probably terrified."

       "Fuck. Okay. Buck, you need to rest. You've been stabbed and you're stressed. I'll find our girl. God how did we get here? I should've just broken my cover and told her to get away from him. We wouldn't be in this mess if I had," Marcus grumbles.

       "You did what you had to Marcus. James would be pissed if she heard you right now. Now let's focus. Buck you really do need to rest. We'll update you when we come up with something."

       "If I can't have you. No will," Buck says aloud. Trying to figure out where she could be. "Oh my god. I know where he took her." Buck calls Athena, "suicide cliff. He's taking her to suicide cliff."

       "Please, Colin. What are we doing? Where are we?"

       "Suicide Cliff. You're going to die today. Just like Kareena. She died on this very cliff. Except she really did kill her self. She said she'd rather die than be with me." James gasps. Looking down she sees jagged rocks and waves crushing against them.

       "I don't want to die Colin. Please. I'll go home with you."

       "Who's the little girl Billie?" The one you were sleeping with who is she?"

       "My little sister. Our mom died sixteen months ago. I got full custody. Please Colin I'm all she has," James tries to work his soft side that is very deeply hidden. Instead he pushes her over the edge. James reaches out and grabs his shirt pulling him with her. "If I'm dying. So are you. You bastard!" She shouts.
