Ghost POV
I was sitting beside Phantom who was unconscious, Marksman was leaning against the wall looking at her too. Her face was so peaceful, something I missed so much. I put the back of hand and rubbed it gently against her cheeks.
"You know this may cause some trouble." said Marksman.
"I know." I replied.
"Javelin seemed sad and happy at the same time." said Marksman.
I know Javelin likes me, but I don't see her like that, she's just another comrade. She's also someone I can't lose. I can't lose anyone, not like last time.
"I'll confront her on my own time." said Ghost.
It was silent for a while, I could hear the group outside talking.
"Are you going to tell her after she wakes up?" asked Marksman,
"She has to know." I replied.
"That'll be so much for her to take in."
"Don't worry, I'll handle it."
Just then I heard a groan escape from Phantom's lips. She slowly opened her eyes and just looked at the ceiling for a few seconds before it widened. She immediately sat up but I grabbed her arm. She turned around and saw me and had a confused look.
"Where am I? Who are you?" she asked.
"Shit, I have my mask on." I thought.
"Right now you're in the infirmary." I replied. "You need to rest, we'll talk later."
"I had enough rest, I want to know who you are." she growled.
"Same old Emily." I thought.
I took off my helmet and slowly took off my mask. I looked up and all I saw on her face was pure shock. Her eyes began to water as she tried to say something but the words wouldn't come out.
"It's me." I said, I felt my eyes begin to water.
"A-A-Ajax." stammered Phantom.
"I missed you." I replied.
Tears began to fall down her cheeks as she saw me. And for the first time in years, I smiled, slightly. She hugged me and started bawling on my shoulder. After a few seconds, she let go and smiled.
"Marksman?" asked Phantom.
Marksman just waved, but on the inside I knew he was smiling too.
"How long, was I a titan." asked Phantom.
"Nearly a year." I replied.
Phantom thought about it, however, her eyes widened as if she remembered something.
"Recon....she was the one." she whispered.
"I know." I replied.
"How?"
"She showed herself during a mission." I replied.
"Oh. Oh yea, where's Aid?" asked Phantom.
I looked down as I began to remember how it all went down.
"He's...gone." I whispered.
Phantom just looked down and sighed.
"I'm sorry." said Phantom.
"No, it's my fault he's gone, I could have saved him." I added.
"Don't blame yourself. Tell me what happened." said Phantom.
