DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

RAZE

“What do you mean NO? You don’t have money, Jeez?” The restaurant’s manager’s voice was high and shrill that almost blown away my ears, He is fuming in anger when I told them “No” which means that I don’t have money. I don’t even know how does it look.

Three hours have already passed since I separated with Damien. And I can say that leaving all by your self is not easy as I thought it is.  People were always asking for money that I don’t have.

I recalled how many amusement parks had rejected me because I can’t buy their ticket. They always say “You need to buy a ticket to pass and you have to pay for it”

Afterwards, my stomach began to complain and I look for a restaurant with the most delicious picture of food. I had a very amazing time eating every food of my liking, also was thankful that this restaurant let me in without asking if I have money to pay. Well, that is what I thought, not knowing that everything has a cost, as in EVERYTHING even the water and their service. “Miss, do you realize how many orders  you have made? You unbelievably ate five plates of pasta, 6 orders of steak and whole order of cake, plus one pint of ice cream. Then, you will tell us that you can’t pay?!? Are you freaking serious?” The manager kept on berating at me, listing down the food I ate. I can’t think of how I will properly respond to his question, therefore I just stared at the floor. Asking the ground to open and swallow me.

“Wait a minute...are you sick, drunk?” He haughtily scanned me from head to foot. I heard the other employees gasp and puff. How will I answer him? “Angry?” I asked and the employees all together burst into laughter.

I feel like crying. They are very mean. But Damien is meaner, I repeated to myself again. Actually, I have been arguing with myself the past three hours whether to return at Damien or live life my own.

“Such a pretty girl but wasted, they say you can’t have it all. Angry? Yes. You have to call whoever you know to pay your bill.” He said.

“What is this?” A man appeared before of us. He is handsome. He smiled at me and touched my chin to close my opened mouth. I haven’t notice that my lips parted since he came in. “This woman has no money to pay her bills” the manager replied, and he just nodded. “That’s fine. I will handle this and you could go back to your duty. Thank you Charles.” He gave the manager whom he called Charles, tap on his back. He glared at me first before her he left us and followed what this man asked him to do.

Whew..I feel so relieved. This man just saved me, so I smiled at him. He smiled back which added to his gorgeous looks.

He cleared his throat before he spoke.

“What’s your name beautiful, Miss?”

“Raze” I replied without hesitation and stammering.

“Is it true that you don’t have anything to pay your bill?” I eagerly nodded at him, He tilted his head “I See.” he said, looking at my bill. “Let’s see how much it cost...What? Seriously?” His eyes were like popping out for he was shocked when he finished checking it. Then, he laughs hysterically. “How did you eat all of these food, you sure you’re alone?”

I nodded again but now I am a bit shy. Why do I feel this? I feel that my face is hot; suddenly, I became conscious towards him. I bit my lips to hide what embarrassment.

“By the way I am Frank; it’s nice to meet you Raze.” He winked at me, grabbed my hand and lightly squeezed it, lead it to his lips and he planted a kiss. Right there and then, bolts of electricity ran throughout my body.
