You sat on your bed; the grip on your pillow becoming tighter with each thought. The soaked pillow in your grasp only continued to catch your despair as your silent weeping carried on.

All the times you spent with Ciel...Gone.

It's hard to remember what caused these events with your mind as scrambled as it is. You could only remember the loving and happy moments between the two of you. You recalled that the two of you were inseparable..

More tears left your eyes as yet another important factor sprung to mind. Today was (B/Date); the day of your birth.

You loathed yourself for thinking Ciel would be here--when you truly knew he wouldn't think of it.

Because the love of your life is currently being married to Elizabeth Midford today.

Of all days..

The more you thought about it; the more you cried. Your mind and heart broke simultaneously; and the combined pain was overwhelming. You hated everything about yourself in this moment; your plain looks, uninteresting features, lack of smarts--simply everything.

It all started when that darned butler of Ciel's appeared to deliver the news. Your day began somewhat alright; but ever since you received the news--you were sure you'd never be as happy.

If only you could just start anew, try to redo your actions, fix the past. Anything at all.

You were pulled from your thoughts when a soft knock was presented at your door. It was your personal maid; Eri Nakamura. She was a tall, slender woman with an ombré of long purple and golden hair. Prior to this evening she appeared to feed you. However, that's all the company you've had today; too depressed to face anyone.

"Mam'," Eri called, her voice solemn but soft. "You mustn't remain in the house all day; you could catch a cold in this room." She continued speaking softly, her russian accent peaking through.

"No. I'm fine." Came your muffled response.

"I suppose that means I shall bring the carriage around..?" You could hear the slight tone of questioning as she inquired. Though; before you could reply--she spoke again. "Very well mistress, I shall greet you outside."

Eri was always able to forced you into things like this--despite your protests. She was like your mom, actually.

With a soft sigh, you got up to find a dress to put on.

----

Finally reaching the outside, you stood before the front door; a depressing frown apparent on your face. "Eri, I'm here." You called softly.

"Mistress, here you are." She gave you a small smile; taking your hands in hers. "I may not be able to comprehend your sorrow--yet I am sure that none should ever feel this way. Therefore, I want to show you my favorite wishing shrine." Eri bowed, smiling at you.

"Thank you." You nodded. Truly, you were grateful--but what were you to do with a wishing shrine? They never worked for you as a child; so you found no interest in them.

Eri beckoned you over to the carriage; holding open the door for you.  As you entered, she then proceeded to enter herself. Whilst you rode in silence, you took note of many memorable areas--areas that were memorable to both you and Ciel.

You could see his mansion, the town you would always visit, and countless fields you and Ceil sat in. Sadly, you sighed; averting your gaze from the window. It certainly felt like centuries until you finally reached the wishing shrine Eri spoke of.

First, she exited the carriage before proceeding to assist you in climbing out. "Let us proceed in making a wish mistress!" Eri happily sung, skipping to the well.

You mumbled an agreeable response; beginning to walk slowly behind her. As you began to near the well, you could feel a chill settle in the small of your back. This well caused you a sense of dread and - deja vu.

"A special coin for a special wish." Eri offered a smile as you came to reach her side. Placing the coin in your palm, she spoke once more--her tone serious. "State your wish loud and clear; but keep your eyes closed."

She clasped her hands together and closed her eyes, awaiting your wish.

"I wish that I could go back in time," You paused, your voice wavering, "To when both I and Ciel were twelve, and Eri and Sebastian were..uhm...at their previous ages..?" You stuttered a bit; closing your eyes.

"Is that your wish?"

"Yes." You replied.

"As you wish. Keep your eyes closed. "

You nodded and flattened out your hand, the coin sliding down your palm -and finally into to the well. Seconds after that; light was visible outside your eyelids.

And although your eyes were already closed--you could tell you blacked out.

Aloha!, thanks for reading the first chapter of: Back in time, I hope you enjoyed  ^w^

As it is lightly implied here and throughout the rest of the story, Reader is not aware of Eri's actual age.

Also, Eri is half British, Half Russian. So she has a Russian/British accent. It depends on her state of mind, she usually tries to pronounce things the British way, but her Russian accent still seeps through at times.
