Faint noises stirred up my unconsciousness.

"She is truly a beauty." a familiar soft voice said.

"Yes," a familiar baritone voice conceded.

After that their conversation suddenly went still. I could feel the awkwardness between them.

I hide my smile and slowly opened my eyes.

I saw how Kuya Mave wiped the tears of Saggie. Aba, naglalandian. Hello, I am still in here or I can go outside if you want.

Tumikhim ako at nanlaki ang mata ni Sage.
Tumakbo siya at niyakap ako. I winced a little bit because my body feels so very weak from the accident.

"Thank god you're not dead! I told you na sumabay ka na sa amin diba? I let you leave all by yourself-" I cut her out.

"Hey, I'm alright. Wala kang kasalanan. The driver was just...playing around, I guess?" I said jokingly.

She glared at me.

"You think it's funny?"

I chuckled at her.

"Excuse me, I will just answer this phone call, be right back." he said looking at me in a couple of seconds then staring at Sage who is rolling her eyes out.

Tumango ako. The moment kuya closed the door agad kong tinanong si Sage. The scene earlier was kinda...sweet?

Her cheeks redden at my question.

"Eleaur! Nakita mo iyon diba? Shit, he wiped my tears. Nawala bigla iyong iniingatan kong wall para sa kaniya!"

Napatawa naman ako sa kaniya.

"Wall ka diyan! Marupok ka lang talaga."

"He likes me, you think?"

Napahinto ako.

I don't want my Sage to get hurt. Hindi niya ba naiisip na may girlfriend na iyon na bruha? Duh, subukan niya lang saktan si Sage, kita mo lang Lucy.

But at the end of the day, it's still Sage's decision. Puwede ko naman siyang pigilan iyon nga lang ay kong magpapapigil siya. Ayaw ko naman na sumama ang loob niya sa akin dahil pinagkait ko iyong kasiyahan niya.

Bumuntong hininga lang siya at umiling. She smile sadly.

"Ito naman! I was just kidding. And...I have restrained my feelings from falling upon him."

We looked up the door as someone entered. Akala ko si kuya pero iba pala. My heart beat when I saw him. I saw the worry in his eyes that was immediately replaced by relief. Tumikhim muna si Sage bago nagpaalam na lumabas. I know she did that out of support!

"How are you?"

Napatalon ako sa biglaang tanong niya. Napansin niya iyong gulat ko kya naman ay napangisi siya.

"I-I am alright." My cheeks reddened as I answered his question.

He chuckled. Shit why do you need to do that?!

"That's good. Do you need anything?"

Umiling ako. May benda sa noo niya na ngayon ko lang napansin.

"Are you okay? I am very sorry. It's my fault-"

Agad siyang lumapit sa akin. Agad nagising ang mga paro-paro sa tiyan ko nang hinaplos niya ang pisnge ko. Namungay ang mga mata kong nakatingin sa kaniya. This is not good.

"It is not your fault. I am okay as long you are too," He said.

Napapikit ako. Umaandar na naman 'yong karupukan ko. Iba talaga ang epekto mo sa akin, Ares.

We stayed like that for a couple of minutes. I am still not used that he is just here sitting beside me. The way his actions affect me. It's absurd.

"You want to eat something?" He suddenly asked.

"Nothing. Ikaw?"

The door opened. Kuya Mave entered the room, iyon ang pagkakaalam ko pero may kasunod pa pala. I was surprised when Lev Artery entered also.

Pagpasok niya pa lang ay nagtama agad ang mga mata namin. Shit.

Umiwas ako ng tingin at bumaling kay Ares.
Kausap niya si Kuya. I guess he is thanking Ares for his bravery.

Nanlamig bigla ang mga kamay ko. Why do I feel very nervous when Lev Artery's just around, just a distance away from me.

Yes, I am very conscious towards Ares but seriously? I just met Lev Artery an hour ago and it feels very strange to act this way.

Ano bang meron sa kaniya at nagkakaganito ako?! Kulang ba ako sa tulog? Halos Sabunutan ko na ang sarili ko dahil sa kaba nang makitang papalapit na rito si Levi. Levi? Where the hell did that name came from?

Tumikhim ako at sinikap na hindi kabahan. Pero lintek na pakiramdam to, ayaw makisabay!

Inangat ko ang tingin sa kaniya at nakita na walang bakas na tuwa sa kaniyang mga mata. Napalunok ako sa naisip na baka sakalin niya nalang ako bigla.

"I told you to come with us but you didn't. Look what happened." He said, mocking me.

My jaw dropped upon his sentence. Are you serious? Agad na nagkasalubong ang nga kilay ko sa inis.

"What? So, kasalanan ko na nangyari sa'kin 'to? Nagjojoke ka ba? Mukha ba 'kong tanga para magpahit and run?"

Patago kong tinignan sina Kuya at Ares at nakitang seryoso parin sila sa paguusap.

"I'm not implying that it's your fault. Kung sumama ka nalang sana sa amin ay hindi mangyayari 'yan sa'yo."

Seryoso parin siya na nakatingin sa akin. Inirapan ko siya para matahimik na 'yong bunganga niya.

Ayoko sayo!

"E-Excuse me... Uuwi na ako, Eury. Pagaling ka ha." Biglang sabi ni Sage na nagmamadling pumasok.

My forehead creased because of confusion. Kasi naman na sa labas lang siya kanina tapos bigla nalang siyang pumasok na parang sinaniban.

Her eyes were red and I am not dumb to not noticed that she was crying. May naiisip na ako na dahilan pero ayaw ko naman siyang pangunahan.

I want the best man for her. I want Sage to open her eyes. Especially her heart. If I were on her shoe, I'd open my heart and give chance to others who'll let me feel the love that I deserve.

"U-uhm...Eury, Uwi na ako ha? Pinauwi na ako nina Daddy e. Mag-ingat ka ha?"

I could feel Kuya Mave's stare that made the whole room tense. Parang nanginginig na hinila ni Sage paalis si Levi.

At putek 'yan! Hindi man lang naalis sa akin ang nakasimangot niyang mukha kahit na hinihila na siya ni Sage.

Cute eh?

I can't hide my smile when he pouted. I chuckled at nasisiguro ko na narinig niya iyon bago pa mabuksan ni Sage ang pinto.

But before they got out, I stucked my tounge out para asarin siya.

Shit this is bad.
