I storm up to my room, clutching my school bag. I slam the door, and it isn't long before someone knocks on my door.

"Go away!" I screech, throwing my bag across the room.

"(Y/N), please open the door," says Nathalie.

"Why? So that you can tell me that my father grounded me for life? Well, I already am grounded for life, in case you haven't noticed!" I yell. My throat is beginning to hurt, and tears are falling from my face.

"(Y/N), you know your father only wants the best for you. Please open the door. I'm not here to talk about consequences. I just want to talk." Nathalie says.

I slide out of bed and open the door. "Honestly, Nat, I really need someone to talk to," I say.

She nods and gives me a sympathetic look before sitting down. "Listen, (Y/N), please don't get too upset over this. I don't quite understand what the deal is with public school. Why do you and Adrien feel the need to go there?" she says.

I sit down beside of her. "I want friends my age. I mean, sure, I have Adrien and Chloé, but that's it," I tell her, my arms crossed.

"What's wrong with Chloé? I thought you two were friends," Nathalie says.

"Chloé? Are you kidding? We were friends until around fifth grade and then she became the brat she is today," I whine.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, I happen to know that the daughter of the owners of the Tom and Sabine Bakery is around your age. Would you like to meet her sometime? I have a feeling that the two of you would make great friends," she says.

I squeal in delight and hug her. "Can we arrange that? Are you sure?" I ask her, shocked.

"Yes, we can. In fact, I believe you have an opening in your schedule this Saturday," she tells me.

My eyes widen, and I smile. "Thanks, Nat. This really helped," I say.

She smiles. "No problem, (Y/N). Now, get your books so we can start your new history unit," she says.

I race over to my desk and pick up the books, then I rush over to Nathalie.

It isn't long before Father enters the room. "(Y/N), I hope you know that there will be consequences for your actions today," he says.

"Yes, Father, I know," I say.

"You're grounded. You will only leave the house for photo shoots from now until Friday," he says in a cold tone.

"Yes, Father," I say, clenching my fists. I see a warm lavender light from underneath his tie. "How strange," I think.

He walks out of the room and I frown.

"Don't be too upset," says Nathalie, "Like you said, you only ever left the house for photo shoots. Plus, you aren't grounded on Saturday. I will arrange the meeting with Marinette."

She walks out, and I'm left alone in my room.

About an hour later, Adrien walks in. "Hey, (Y/N), are you alright?" he says, sitting down next to me.

"No," I whisper, "I can't take it anymore! I hate my life! I hate it!" I start crying.

"(Y/N), I know things have been a little different since Mom disappeared, but we'll get through it together," he says, "I promise."

"But it's not fair!" I scream, grabbing my songbook only to see it had fallen apart from my school bag's impact with the wall.

Adrien, seeing my songbook, gives my a concerned look. "(Y/N), it's okay. We'll get you a new songbook," he says.

"No, Adrien, it's not the same!" I cry, "Mom gave me that book right before she disappeared."

Had I been paying attention, I would've seen a strange black and purple butterfly flying toward me.

"No, akuma!  Get away from that girl!  You're supposed to go after Ivan," I yell, raising my cane out of anger.  The akuma wouldn't listen, though.  My daughter's negative emotions are much stronger than Ivan's, and now I have a very serious problem.

The akuma lands on her, and I sigh.  Surely it couldn't be too bad to drag my own daughter into this.

"Songheart, I am Hawk Moth.  Your songbook has been ruined, I see.  Well, I'm giving you the power to make all of Paris feel your pain!" I say, hoping she'll accept.

"I'm so confused. Can you actually give me that power? Oh, and how are you talking to me?" she asks.

I sigh and shake my head. "I can give you that power. I'm talking to you telepathically. Any more questions?" I say.

She shakes her head and stands up. "No," she says, "But I accept your offer. Paris will suffer!" she says, holding the akumatized object, her schoolbag, in the air. I see the bubbles surrounding her, and I feel the slightest bit of guilt for dragging her into this.

"Thank you, Hawk Moth," says Songheart, "But one final thing. I owe you something in return. What is it that you're after? I know you want something, most likely from the heroes that will probably come to stop me."

"The thing I want most is the earrings of the Ladybug and the ring of the Black Cat." I say, an evil grin on my face.

"Easy enough," she says, "I'll get you those jewels."

She starts demolishing buildings, and after a half an hour of destruction, she comes to the Agreste mansion.

"What are you doing?" I ask her.

"Carrying my brother to safety," she says, walking into the mansion. Right before she opens the door to Adrien's room, a red and black yo-yo hits her in the face.

"Who are you?" says someone behind Songheart. It's the holder of the Ladybug earrings.
