2nd Chapter

  Earlier that day..

  Ryland received a message delivered by a falcon. He knew who it came from. Obviously it came from the council. He open the tiny paper but to see it empty. He then close the curtain of the window. To make the his office to go dark, after that he light a black candle in his drawer and put it to a andle holder. As he done lighting the candle he burn the paper. As the ashes coming from the paper crumble and landed to the table littke by little a message is forming on its own.

He sighed..  The letter stated..

  Come and meet the council. We have a mission to give for the Death Bringer.

As he finished reading the content. He grab his coat and snap his finger for a light blow of wind to blew the ashes on his table. Ryland walked to the corridor where the school library is. He greeted the librarian and as the librarian sees him, she know what she will do. She gave him a key. Ryland bid her a thank you and continue to walk through the southern part of the library where there no students but only old books. There in that section of the library is a head of a monkey statue. He insert the key to its ear then a secret passage opens, but not your normal passage it was a portal that will bring you to the place you want to go faster.

  He walk through the mirror like portal and as he step inside it he immediately appeared infront of the council. He take a glace in his surrounding checking on who is present. "Looks like a complete attendance at last.", he jokingly said while the five of the member of the council have mix reaction on what he have said. Two of them which is Martha who weild the fifth place of the council can't pull her smirk on the joke also the third member Branthew. While the other two Joseph and Titus the fourth and first still gave Ryland the same scowl on their face. While the second member who is once in the blue moon comes to a important occassion like this scratch his nape.

  The first member stand to it chair and lean on the table infront of them. While Ryland suite himself on a couch infront of the council. " This mission will be her class S+ and tell the Death Bringer that failure is not an option.", Titus said while massaging his temples that become his mannerism. Ryland stand and grab the envelope.

  " You said that the Death Bringer will have a month before to receive another mission?", Ryland insist. But Martha sighed. " Yes , but this one can't wait for a month. Only the Death Bringer can do this job. You can't insist on this one. And this meeting is done", Ryland only released a heavy sighed and step back and bid his goodbye to the coucil.

  Ryland step out to the portal again. And ended up to his office. He then use this opportunity to use his ability to have a peak inside the content of the envelope. His ability is to have a peak on the future but also he has the disadvantage, because just like her adoptive daughter he can never have a decent peek on her future due to her ability. The only way to guide her is to have a peek on whatever mission bestowed upon her.

  He touched the seal on it then a small smirk is painted on his lips.

Present...

  Lyra leaved the office and go back at her room, never minding her remaining class. Whenever she received a letter for a mission from the council it is as if a protocol for her to make this as her top priority. She close all the windows on her room and before she close her door she make sure that no one will bother her as she read the content. She closed the door tightly and sat on her bed. Opening the letter she she then burn the paper inside then a box appeared infront of the as the ashes falls to her bed.

  As she sees the purple box she smiled. She knew that this is a type S+ mission. A mission that can lead to what she have sought. She open the box and greeted by a picture of a man. A hair colored in red, silver eyes and his face is like a promising model she thinks. Then a note on its back. " Your target an ability user but the ability is unknown. He is in a hospital near the ocean. There is a map included. Make sure to do your mission and a failure is not an option. And don't under estimate. "

  As she finished reading all the content of the box. She then proceed to get ready for her mission. Even she noticed that her mission now has so many lapsed on information she is still confident to finished it.

In the council..

  "Do you really think that the Death Bringer can do this?", Martha question them. All of the other member suddenly faced her. They all decidec to moved out after the meeting.

  " The Death Bringer already proved her talent to weild such a dagerous ability. We don't need to waver now", the first member said. While the others already left....
