Outcast

5th Chapter

  Large paws emerge from the entrance of the door Lyra opened. Three headed beast came from that portal. The Cerberus. He was stunned by the sight of it. It was so huge like the size of a three times the elephant. Its fangs are very big and sharp. She greeted the beast like it was her pet. "Did having the ability of death means you can summon a hell creature?", he asked himself.

  "Are you afraid now doctor?",she asked while still petting the creature while it purr on her touched like a normal dog. "I think you know who this is creature. This is one of my beloved pet. It will be glad to finished you", then she smiled again.

  "She's insane", he cursed under his breath. He watched the creature to send glares at him. Lyra point at him then Cerberus launch an attack on his direction. He luckily dodge that big attacked. He take a glance at the damage taken by the land. If that attack landed on him his body will turn into shred.

  "Before this creature ended my life. May I know your name?", he asked while he knows that his endurance is at its limit by now. She smiled and said, "Lyra Scarlett at your service. And you?", before he answer her a loud explosion burst from the direction of the cabin. They both halt on their places on a sudden explosion.

  "They found us." he whispered while Lyra get confused. "What do you mean?", she asked. While making a hand gesture for the Cerberus to take a form of a large wolf then retreat at her side. "I forgot to tell you, we are on the run.", he stated.

  "Explain to me. And who are you by the way? Why did the council wants you dead and made the mission to be a class S+?", she burst out a question. "So they are starting to hunt me again by making me an S+", he said upon hearing her.  "Maybe you heard the name Karma", he said. While Lyra think. "Yes, I heard the name. As I remember he is an assassin that abandon his mission to be an outcast. But he has too many knowledge on tge council so the council want him dead.", after she said that she realized one thing.. " Your Karma?", she asked. Then the doctor only smiled. "Yes I am Karma Prince. The outcast assassin and hello were on the same boat now we better run cause I can sense their life from here we can't fight for now since I am exhausted from your rampage and from using my ability to heal you. She then suddenly felt guilty upon hearing him.

  She then order Cerberus to help Karma. "Hop on him we need to go as far as possible from here before they find us.", after she order him, she also hop on Cerberus and they ride him like a horse, but Cerberus use a portal to transfer them far away from that place. They unmount to Cerberus when they feel like they are safe now. They can see from their place the cabin which is burning by now like a tip of a match in size.

  Karma walk through the nearest stream he heard, Lyra also followed. As they reached the running water. He take a  gulp on the water. Cerberus filled himself too. Lyra climb one of the tallest tree near them to check where direction they should go. As she skillfully climb and reach its peak, a strong force of wind greeted her...

  "Oh no,"she whisper as she remember her best friend. It is wrong for her to reveal herself to the place where strong winds blow. She might get her best friend in danger. "Winds friend of Bree please don't inform her about me", she pleaded to the wind.

  Looking at the distant view of the place. Scanning it for a possible place to hide for the night. She saw not far away from them a cave. She instantly jump from the peak of the tree she climbed and landed gracefully.

  "Not far away from here I saw a cave we can rest there if you want but if you choose to trek in the middle of the night to reached the highway we can go.", she stated. Thinking for the good option Karma answered, "We better go to tge cave. Even it is a good idea to trek to reached the highway and hitch hike there is also a posibility that we are surrounded by now. We need to replenished our stamina and strength for now."

  Then they proceed. While walking Karma gathered the right amount of dry branches and twigs to last for that night to keep them warm.

  They reached their destination for a half an hour. Lyra command Cerberus to go first inside the cave to inspect, after a minutes he came back with empty hand so they proceed to camp inside it. Karma set the mini bonfire. While Lyra felt the coldness of the cave. She just realize the amount of clothing she is dressed. And it is not the nurse uniform she'd remember.

  "Who changed my clothes?", she whisper while her eyes wants to drop on its socket when she realize who it was. Hugging herself while staring at Karma doing his job. Karma just felt the evil glare of her. He noticed that Lyra sending some of her miasma again to him but he nullify it.

  "What are you doing?", he asked .

  "You know I want to summon all of my pets in hell, realizing what you have done to me!", she angrily said under her breath. Not having a clue Karma start to think what he have done now for her to snap again. She is giving him a hard time to deal with her attitude.

  He just noticed her body language. As he saw her hugging herself he realize. "Are you mad because I change you clothes?", he asked her while he see that she is starting to chill. Even there is a miasma he undo his ability and walk beside Lyra, but Lyra continue to send glares to him. Cerberus who is watching the two growl for a warning to Karma. But he send a chilling glares to Cerberus for him to back off like a scared puppy.

  Can't believe on what she have witness she called Cerberus but Karma got closer and offer his jacket. "You better to wear this or you might catch a cold. And don't worry even I see your body I'm still a doctor so just think that way.", after saying that he distance himself and lay beside the fire to rest.
