David's P.O.V

This was a fucking disaster.

We dropped Liza off at home and she didn't even say a word to me, Zane is threatening me with the picture he took of me and Natalie, and Nat has been in her room ever since we got home, which was like two hours ago.

Yes, it was 2 am, and no, she wasn't asleep because I could clearly hear her watching youtube videos. I wanted to talk to her so bad, but I felt so fucking awkward.

Grow some fucking balls, David, all you did was kiss her hand, it was a completely normal thing to do.

Fucking no it wasn't a normal thing to do, not when you were out with your ex girlfriend who wanted a second chance.

I don't even know what got into me when I did that. I became abnormally flirty, which is something that never happens.

I was trying so hard to go to bed, but it just didn't work. I could still feel how soft her hand felt against my lips and I genuinely wondered if her lips would feel the same.

Fucking hell, David, are you on fucking crack?

After a few more minutes of me trying to fall asleep, I decided that it wasn't going to happen. I built up the courage to get up and march straight into Natalie's room. My dumb ass didn't even bother knocking the door.

I evidently startled Nat and she legit fell off her bed.

I couldn't help but laugh, "Oh my god, Nat, I'm so sorry," I said, running up to her and helping her up. After she was back on her bed, she started laughing too.

We laughed together for a solid few minutes before we calmed down.

"Where's the camera?" She asked, confused.

"What camera?"

"You didn't just jump scare me without filming it, now did you?" She continued questioning, growing more confused.

I sat down next to her, "Believe it or not, I didn't mean to scare you."

"Oh," She said, "Then what are you doing here?"

I couldn't really find an answer to that, "I honestly don't know," I sheepishly grinned at her, feeling awkward again.

"Yeah, I get you, I've been trying to get myself to come talk to you for the past hour and a half but my anxiety got the best of me," She confessed, smiling back at me.

"And what would you have told me if you did come?" I asked, noticing the awkwardness fade away.

"They same thing you said, probably."

I just laughed.

I also decided that maybe it wasn't really the right time to talk about this confusing ass day yet, so I didn't push the subject any further.

"Do you want to watch a movie?"

"David, it's fucking 2 am," Natalie stated. She was right but I didn't really care about the time, I just wanted to stay with her for a little longer.

"So?" I playfully winked at her, and she softly laughed.

She got up, "I was having trouble sleeping anyways," She replied, "I'll go make some popcorn," She finished before walking out.

She left me there, all alone, stuck wondering how a human could just exist and be so fucking perfect.

Natalie's P.O.V

"Horror, romance, comedy, or action?" Dave asked as I walked into the living room with a bowl of popcorn.

"Well the sun would be rising at almost the end of the movie, so I'm thinking romance's perfect," I replied, flopping down onto the couch.

"Wise choice," He said, grabbing the remote and sitting down close to me. A bit too close to me, but fuck it, I didn't mind.

"Do you have any specific one in mind or do I just play a random one?"

"Random."

David slightly nodded his head and pressed on some random romance movie.

Half way through the movie, I was getting sleepy, and I could clearly see that so was Dave. It was a nice movie but I was honestly losing focus, however, at some point in the movie came a scene where the girl's best friend just decided to leave her.

The scene caught my attention, and I became 100% focused. The guy walked away, and I tensed up. Then the girl started crying, and I couldn't help but cry along.

I guess I caught David's attention because he went from slowly dozing off to 110% focused on me, "Awh, Nat, don't cry!" He softly said, rubbing my back.

I wiped my tears and looked at him, "But didn't you see what happened?"

"Yeah, he's an asshole."

I was a bit shocked that David knew what was going on because he seemed like he was barely watching the movie.

"He's her best friend," I protested.

He slightly laughed, "He isn't a real one."

I raised an eyebrow at him, "How can you be so sure?"

His hand traveled from my back to my cheek, and he slowly dragged his thumb across it. Fucking hell this man was making feel things that I shouldn't be feeling.

"Because, I'd never leave."
