David's P.O.V

I arrived at Liza's appartement half an hour late, which sucked because now I seem like a total jerk.

I walked out of the elevator and right to Liza's door then slightly knocked on it. A few moments passed, and then the door opened.

I was greeted by Zane, which startled me at first, but then I came to the conclusion that they must have made plans before ours.

"Hey, honey, how you doing?" Zane asked as pulled me in a small hug.

"I'm fine, Zane, what about you?"

"Gucci, baby," He smiled, pulling me in the apartment and then shut the door.

We were standing in Liza's entrance when Liza walked up to us from her kitchen.

"David!" She exclaimed, hugging me as soon as she reached us, "Long time no see," She stated before pulling away.

I let out a dry laugh, "Yeah, I wonder why."

Zane's eyes widened and he immediately excused himself to change the subject.

"It's okay, Zane, you can come with us if you want to," I said, not willing to be completely alone with Liza.

"Oh, thanks, baby, but I got plans," He said, giving me a slight pat on the shoulder. Liza and I both furrowed our eyebrows.

"What plans?" Liza asked, as curious as me.

Zane laughed, "Calm down y'all, me and Natalie decided to hang out."

I felt sad, for some reason, "You and Nat made plans?" I asked, my voice hitting an all time fucking low.

"Yeah."

"When?" I couldn't help but ask. Liza looked confused, but Zane seemed like he understood where I was going with this.

He smiled, "Like half an hour ago, David, don't worry, Natalie would never ditch you for other plans."

His words kinda hit me like a knife, and my mood became ten times worse than before. I couldn't even reply to him because I knew he was right.

Zane said his goodbyes to both me and Liza, and headed out. Which meant that I was officially alone with Liza, and boy did I want to be anywhere else but here at the moment.

Natalie's P.O.V

"Hey, boo!" Zane chimed as soon as he came inside the house.

I smiled, "Hello, my love."

"How's my Natalina doing?" He asked, pulling me into a hug in the process.

"She sad," I mumbled into his chest as I hugged back.

He pulled away, "It's that stupid Dobrik guy isn't it?" He playfully scoffed.

"Sure is," I replied, laughing.

I've always felt like I can be honest with Zane. That's why I asked him to hang out with me tonight. Because David ditched me and I felt really sad, and there really was no one else around I could rant to but Zane.

We walked to the couch and sat down, "But with all honesty, don't take it personal, Liza can be pretty persuasive when she wants to be," Zane assured me, which didn't really boost my mood at all.

"I mean, I understand that he hasn't seen her in forever, and that she's rarely available, but priorities, Zane, priorities fucking matter."

"Yeah, baby, I know," He spoke, rubbing my back softly while he did so.

"The thing bothering me most is I don't know why the fuck I'm so pissed, like it's his life, who am I to tell him what to do?"

"His best friend?" Zane said, and raised an eyebrow at me.

I sighed, "I just need to get my mind off things maybe," I assumed.

Zane cracked a small smile, "I know what's wrong," He stated.

"What?"

"You're jealous."

"What the fuck, Zane, why would I be? I don't even see David like that," I quickly said. It shocked me to realize how defensive I was.

"Not like that," He explained, "Best friends can get possessive over each other as well," He paused, "But considering how defensive you got, I'm kinda questioning if it's only a best friends issue."

"Zane, shut up before I make you,"

He just laughed, then he got up, grabbed my hand and pulled me up with him.

"Okay, okay, I'm on silent mode, as you wish my queen. Now can we go before we miss our dinner reservation?" He asked. I took a look at the time and saw that it was already 10 pm. Damn does time fly by quick.

"Okay, let me just grab my purse."
