Chapter Two

Britt POV
It has been about a month since senior year started. Bella has been having fun with Joey while we're at school and Santana and I have been in a really good place. Santana has been complaining of a headache all day but refused to go home so when we got home she went to lie down. Bella and I have been watching cartoons while Santana slept until I heard Bella scream
"Uncle Puck!" Jumping off the couch noticing the man before I did.
"There's my favorite three year old!" Puck said excitedly as Bella jumped into his arms.
"Hey Puck, what are you doing here?" I said interrupting their reunion.
"Hey Britt, I was looking for Santana. She promised she'd help me with a homework assignment." He replied still hugging Bella.
"Oh, she said she had a headache so she's lying down right now but I'll go see if she's up for it." I said smiling and walking away to mine and Santana's bedroom. When I arrived to the room Santana was asleep so I got up in the bed and scooted behind her so we were flush against each other. I then kissed the back of her neck to wake her up.
"Mmmm" She hummed.
"How's your head?" I asked softly.
"It still hurts." She replied turning around to face me and nuzzled her nose in the crook of my neck.
"Did you take anything?" I asked her as I started rubbing her back.
"No, I forgot." She replied.
"Awe honey." I replied going to move to get her some medicine.
"No, stay." Santana said tightening her grip on me.
"Okay. But Puck is here, he said you promised him you'd help with an assignment?"
"Shit, I forgot." She replied
"It's alright I'll just tell him you aren't feeling well. I could always help him with it if he really needs the help." I told her kissing her on the head and going to our bathroom to get her medicine. "Baby, take this please."
"Fine." She said sitting up and taking the medicine before laying back down.
"I'll come check on you later." I told her kissing her on the lips before leaving the room to find Puck having an animated discussion with Bella.
"Bella." I said
"Hi momma." She said running up to me.
"Bells, mommy isn't feeling good I think she could use a cuddle buddy." I told her.
"Okay Momma!" She replied excitedly and ran down the hall to mine and Santana's bedroom. When she got to the bedroom door she quieted down. She knew that if her mommy was sick to be very quiet. When I saw Bella enter the room I turned back to Puck.
"Hey, I'm sorry Santana has a headache still. I could help you with the assignment if you'd like"
"Do you know spanish?" He replied.
"Yeah! Santana taught it to me when I was little. I only take the class for an easy grade now." I told him.
"I need help with this sheet. I can never seem to get the words right." He said pulling the sheet out of his book bag. I helped him with his assignment for about an hour until it was all done.
"Would you like to stay for dinner? I was just going to grill some chicken."
"I would love to but I don't want to put you out." Puck replied
"Nope not at all. We usually make an extra piece anyways just in case we have company." I told him.
"Sounds like you have company often." He replied smiling.
"Yeah, one of the Lopezes or Pierces are always here most of the time it's Joey. I honestly feel like he's my son with how much he's here." I laughed out.
"Oh, can I ask you something?"
"Sure." I replied
"Why do you and Santana keep Bella hidden from everyone at school?" He asked seriously.
"When I got pregnant with Bella, Santana and I were so nervous. I mean we knew it'd be a possibility but I was on birth control. I must've forgotten to take it that day.  We don't tell people for Bella's safety. Santana also knew that if anyone made fun of me while I was pregnant she would lose it. That's why I wasn't in school for a while. I did homeschooling when I started to show." I told him crying now.
"So were you her family emergency that day the whole glee club was grilling her with questions?" Puck asked
"Santana never told me about the glee club asking her questions."
