As I finished drinking the tea mother prepared me. I quickly made sure to take my medicine.
I waved my mother goodbye as she drove off to work. I waved my final goodbye and stepped inside and put on my shoes.

It was normal for mother to leave earlier than needed but I didn't mind she was the only one making sure there was a roof over my head.

As I was watching tv I heard two knocks on the door. I got up and opened the door to be greeted by a tall slim figure.
It was my father. I slowly opened the door as I allowed him to enter.
"You look older than the last time I saw you", he said as he forced a grin upon his face.
"It's because last time I saw you I was 13", I said as I quickly went to my room to get what I needed for school.
"Shall we", he said as he put down a picture frame of mother and me. I nodded and stepped out before him and went to his car.
