Marie and Mitchell's first date was quite unique. They were both nervous. Nevous is an understatement. They were terrified. Marie was afraid of just being too ordinary and boring, and Mitchell was the most nervous of the two. He was afraid of messing up, saying something stupid, going too fast, going too slow, and just asdfghjkl. Where they went, you ask? A fancy resturant.
Marie frantically put on a dark flattering olive dress, with a black shawl. She put on black heels, and tried to tame her choppy hair. She always gets weird looks from her hair. Just because you cut your hair with safety scissors doesn't make it strange. Just... really layered. She finally curled her hair, even though it didn't look the best.
Mitchell had it easy with looks. He effortlessly ran his fingers through his dark red hair, and put on a tux, and his converse. The two have talked before, but never have been on a date. Mitchell got into his car, and picked Marie up from her house.
"Hi," he whispered softly, touching her hand.
"Hi," she said, smiling.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
"No, to be honest. A bit nervous...."
"It's okay, nothing to worry about..."
They arrived at the resturant, and took their seats. They order their food, and stay silent for a while.
" Thanks for saying yes, Marie.." said Mitchell.
"Well, if I didn't truly like you I wouldn't have said yes," she said, giving a dazzling smile.
Mitchell hoped his plan worked. He wanted to give Marie a gift, something she would love.
"So..... You've changed your hair," he said, hating the awkwardness.
" Yeah.... Bugs Bunny safety scissors didn't do me justice. So I curled it."
"I kinda liked it choppy, it was cute.." he muttered, but Marie didn't hear him.
Their food finally arrived, and they ate in silence, stealing looks at each other.
Marie loved Mitchell's red hair. Red was her favorite color. Dark red, especially. The fluffyness was just.. UGH.
Mitchell kept staring into her eyes. He gets lost in them. They are green, then blue, then just grey.
Why does he/she have to be so cute? They both thought.
Dessert time. Plan time. Little did he know that Marie had a trick up her sleeve as well.
They both recieved a little box.
They opened them, and stared at each other in awe.
Marie took out a silver ring, with a tiny cello.
"You- did- not- I-"Marie kissed him on the cheek, blushing furiously.
Mitchell opened his box before the kiss, and found a plush turtle, and they kissed each other at the same time.
"Thank you love. Was this date a success?"
"If it wasn't, I don't know what is a success."
They hugged each other, and left the resturant, hand in hand.
