Minnesota to California on plane is about 3-4 hours. Mitchell's flight leaves in the middle of the day. It was a Saturday, Christmas Eve. They spent the day watching movies, cuddling, since they won't get to on Christmas. Marie was sad, of course, but she tried not to show it. Mitchell felt really guilty. Christmas- Marie's favorite holiday, and the day they spend together the most- she has to spend alone. Marie says she'll be alright, but Mitchell still feels bad. It was time to get ready, so they both got dressed, and get Mitchell's suitcases down. They drive to the airport, and when it's time to get past security, Marie breaks down.

"I'll miss you so much," she said, kissing him, and hugging him.

"I'll get back as soon as I can, love," Mitchell said, kissing her forehead, being on the verge of tears himself. He had to stay strong, for Marie. People stared, feeling a bit heart broken, but sadly, it was time for Mitchell to leave. They said their good byes, and went their seperate ways.

Marie walked back to the car, and drove herself home. She couldn't help but be sad. She was alone. She wasn't coming to her parent's, that's for sure, but she didn't want to be alone either. She got into the house, watching some kind of TV show. It felt strange and depressing, not seeing Mitchell their with her. Sulking around won't get you anywhere, Marie said to herself. Mitchell wants you to have the best time you can. Marie went into her room, changed into her PJ's- a tank top, and flannel pajama pants. She sat near her cello, and started to play Christmas songs, like she always did for Mitchell. It made her feel calmer- like he was there beside her, listening to her.

Mitchell walked to the terminal, and sat down, hugging the turtle plushie he got from Marie on their first date. He never really got emotional, but that was tough. Saying good bye. He knows it just 5 days, but it will feel like forever. He sighed, and it was time to board the plane. He wanted to call her, but he couldn't. The airline wouldn't let him. It was a long 3-4 hours ahead of him. He decided to sleep, for he would get to Los Angeles late. He cuddled up, and shortly fell asleep.

Marie knew that Mitchell wouldn't be home for Christmas, but she wrapped the gifts any way . Mitchell wrapped hers already. He said she can open them, but she won't without Mitchell. It's time for dinner. Gulp. Marie burns pretty much everything she cooks. She got better though- Mitchell taught her how to cook some things. Today, though, she will settle for some ramen. She made her food and tea. She hugged her blanket, and read a book. She soon decided its time to go to bed, and she fell asleep shortly.

Mitchell finally arrived. He texted Marie , "Babe I got to Cali!" and he got to his hotel, and fell into a deep sleep. Today was heartbreakining. Tomorrow will be worse.
