When I woke up Kinsley wasn't next to me anymore. Her washcloth was on her nightstand and her side of the bed was made. I got out of bed and headed downstairs. When I got to the kitchen there was a note on the fridge. "I left to go to the store. Be back soon." I can't believe she left. Me and her are gonna have a little talk about that later. I heard the front door open so I made my way to the door. "Oh Theo, you're up?" She looked down while she talked, fumbling with her keys. "Why the hell did you leave baby girl. First of all your sick and secondly you know the rules from yesterday." I knew I probably shouldn't yell at her, but what can I say, I really fell for this girl. "Theo, we needed groceries. Besides, I'm pretty sure my small fever went away." I walked up to her and grabbed her face and checked her forehead. "The rule was when you want to go out somewhere, I go with you. As for your "small fever", it's now a bigger one because you face is pale and hot." I let go of her face and grabbed the groceries from her hands. "Go upstairs to your room. I'll be there soon with a wet washcloth and some food." I didn't hear any movement so I turned around and saw Kinsley still standing there with a blank face. "Kinsley are you okay?" I started to walk towards her, but she ran upstairs to the bathroom. I came in behind her to find her puking in the toilet. I came behind her and lifted her into my lap while holding back her hair. Once she had finished, she wiped off her mouth. "Theo, can you leave for a little bit? I need to change into different clothes." Part of me didn't want to let her leave, but I knew she had to change. "Fine, but don't lock the door. I will be back in two minutes." I quickly descend the stairs and made my way to the kitchen to look for the ingredients for my delicious chicken soup. I start thinking about how much I used to love cooking with my mom when I was younger and how good I was at it. I would be such a good looking chef, I would get so much attention from all the ladies but... I only wanted Kinsleys. I quickly snap out of my thoughts when I hear my name been shout out from upstairs. I quickly run up the stairs and throw the bathroom's door open, revealing a pale Kinsley sitting on the floor. Quickly I go to her and pick her up in my arms. "Don't worry baby girl, I am right here." I give her hand a small squeeze and start walking towards her room. I gently place her in her bed and start covering her with blankets. "Stop. It too hot to be wrapped in a blanket." She says unwrapping herself from them. My breath hitches when I notice what she's wearing. There she is in one of my t-shirts and a pair of pj shorts with furry socks laying in bed with all her beautiful glory. How did I get so lucky to even talk to her much less get to know her. "That's fine, do you want me to turn on the fan for you?" I say looking at her tired face. "Thanks for offering but no." She says while snuggling to her pillow. "I will go and cook you my amazing chicken soup and I bet you will get better. Just rest for now, alright baby girl?" I say while sitting next to her. "Thank you Theo. For everything." She says, smiling at me with her heart stopping smile. "Anything for you." I give her one of my own and I hear her breath hitch for a moment. But she quickly recovers and says "Really? Anything at all? So if I told you to clean the bathroom and do the dishes would you even if you outerly hate it?" She smirks at me with knowing eyes. "Sorry baby girl but not even you can get me to do that." I say starting to get up and beading towards the door. "But seriously get some rest and I will come and wake you up when the food is done." I say leaning against the doorframe. "Yes sir" she says with a deep voice and salutes be before closing her eyes and drifting off. I quietly close the door and go down the stairs, making my way back to the kitchen. Then I start chopping and putting them in the pot and start cooking.
