Chelsea's pov
I turned on the TV in mine and Harry's bedroom to 'Ghost Adventures', our all-time favorite tv show to watch together whenever it's on. As if on cue, my phone rings with a Skype call. I immediately answer because I believed it to be Harry, but when I answered, there was someone sitting there dressed in nothing but black. The face was covered in black, so I couldn't tell who it was. Could this be the arsonist?
"Um, hi?" I said in a confused voice.
"Shut up. Don't talk." they said.
"But..."
"I SAID DON'T TALK!"
I nodded, scared out of my mind right now.
"You listen to me right now, Chelsea. Yes, I know your name. You're all over the magazines and Internet and newspapers with your precious boyfriend Harry."
I blinked a few times.
"Anyway, you listen here. I suggest to not take my words lightly because I mean what I say 99.9% of the time."
I wondered about the other 0.1%.
"I mean what I say when I say this. If you're not a good girl, you're next."
I gulped. Next? What? Am I next on his hit list, is that what he meant? I really hoped this was just an awful prank that somebody was playing on me.
"Understand?" he said.
I quickly nodded my head. I hoped he would hang up soon because I didn't want any more trouble from him.
"Good girl." he said as he ended the Skype call. I sat there in the bed. I have no idea how long I sat there scared shitless, but my phone rang again with a Skype call. I was hesitant to answer because what if it was the same dude again? I checked the ID and I breathed a sigh of relief and managed a smile because it was Harry. I had a feeling he was going to ask why I took so long to answer. I slid the lock on the screen to answer.
"Hey babe!" I said.
"Baby, are you alright? What took so long to answer? 'Cause you usually answer right away." he said. I got the sinking feeling in my stomach as I bit my lip and prepared to explain the previous Skype call to him. I couldn't lie to him about this. He's my boyfriend, for crying out loud! He looked extremely concerned and I said,
"Right around the time you usually call, my phone rang with a Skype call and I answered thinking it was you and I didn't bother to look at the ID, but it obviously wasn't you."
"Who was it?"
I shook my head as I said,
"I have no idea. The person was dressed in all black and his face was covered so I couldn't tell who it was and they disguised their voice, too, but I have a feeling it was a male."
He sighed before he said,
"What did he say to you?"
"He told me to shut up and not talk and he told me that if I wasn't a good girl, I was next. Whatever that meant, but just how his words sounded through the disguised voice was enough to creep me out. He even knew my name 'cause I'm all over the media with you."
Harry tugged at his curls before he said,
"I have a bad feeling it was the arsonist, babe. I'm coming home..." but before he could say more, I cut him off.
"Don't you dare."
"Babe, this guy threatened you!"
"I know, but babe, I'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll hide first and then text you and I'll call one of the girls to help, too, okay?"
He thought for a minute and then he sighed.
"Okay. Promise me?"
"I promise, Harry. I don't want you leaving the tour early because of me. I don't want you disappointing the fans."
"Okay."
He sighed again before he said,
"I'm sorry. I just love you too much to lose you."
I smiled before I said,
"I know, babe. I love you, too. I've been fine so far. It's only a few more weeks and you'll be home for a little while."
"I know. Can't come soon enough. My mum called me saying she tried calling you today, but you didn't answer."
"She did?" I said confused. I didn't even get a phone call from Anne today. Then again, my other phone's a piece of shit.
"Which one did she try?"
"She tried your flip phone number."
"Yeah, that phone's a piece of crap. It drops my calls a lot, whether they're incoming or outgoing and it doesn't charge right. It also doesn't even register calls I missed half the time nor does it ring. It just beeps indicating I have a missed call when it didn't even ring."
"Hmm. I wonder why she didn't try your other phone. Your better one."
I shrugged before I said,
"I don't know. She should have both numbers for me on her phone, shouldn't she?"
"She should..."
As if on cue, we get a Skype call from Anne. We answer and her face appears on both of our screens.
"Hey guys!" she said.
"Hi mum!" Harry said.
"Hi Anne!" I responded.
"How come you didn't answer earlier today, Chels?"
I smiled grimly at her and said,
"It didn't even ring. There was no ringtone, no beep indicating a missed call, no nothing."
"Oh. Your better phone is doing that?"
"No. It's my older one. My flip phone."
"That's understandable."
"It's been like that for a long time. Since way before I even met Harry."
"Ah. I see. Well, I saw that you were online and I thought I'd ask and see what happened to your phone. It's late over here, so I'd best be getting to bed."
"Okay Anne. We can talk tomorrow if I'm not busy, okay?"
"Alright Chelsea."
"Alright. See you on here tomorrow." I said with a smile.
"Okay sweetheart. Love you, Harry!" she said to me and then to Harry.
"Love you mum! See you soon!" Harry said as Anne hung up and shut her screen off. Suddenly, I heard another male voice on Harry's end saying,
"Harry, it's late. Better get some sleep."
"Alright. I will in a minute, Paul." Harry said. He then faced me and said,
"I'm sorry, baby, but I have to go. Paul says I gotta get some sleep and you know how he gets when we don't get enough sleep."
I giggled and said,
"I know, babe. I'm probably gonna go to bed, too."
"Okay, baby. I'll talk to you in the morning."
"Okay. I love you!"
"I love you, too, sweetheart. See you soon."
We blew each other a kiss and shut our screens off. I smiled, put my phone on my bedside table, shut the TV off and got comfortable in the bed. I pulled Harry's pillow closer to me and cuddled with it until I fell asleep breathing in his scent that he left behind 2 months ago.
