Don't be fooled

Don't be fooled by their curves on their lips or kind actions.
Don't be fooled by their comforting words or their 'pats on the back'.
For you don't acknowledge the venom that rest upon their tongues or the sharp daggers they hold when they embrace you.
They are smiling but at you.
They are laughing but not with you.
Humans are cruel.
So don't be a fool, not everything with a pretty face has compassion.
Not everything that seems benign, is.
Because even unicorns have horns,
and some times even they seek revenge.
