Piece of my Mind

You are my bonfire

Your hair smells like smoke
And your lips taste like marshmallows
Your smile makes my heart flutter like a flame in the wind
You bring light to my backyard on a summer night
And warmth to the coldest corners of my soul.
With a blanket over my shoulders, music in my ears, love in my heart, happiness in my smile. You make an ordinary bonfire, a moment filled with purpose.

You are a reminder that life is more than we make it to be.

Even if you hurt me, I'll take it. I'll take it over anything else. You are worth the burns you will give me.
