1|Urgent Business

Dahyun's P.O.V

It was barely 7 am when my alarm decided to wake me up. Truth is, I've been awake since 5 am but I couldn't find it in myself to fall back asleep. This is what being the upcoming ceo of one of the biggest companies in Korea does to you. As soon as my alarm finished ringing with it's excruciatingly annoying sound I heard a knock on my door. "Ms. Kim, it is time for you to get ready and have some breakfast". I recognized this voice as my personal secretaries', Chaeyoung, also my one and only best friend. I've known Chaeyoung for most of time here at the company owned by my father, but I found out that we actually graduated high school the same year and we even went to the same school. Chae first started off as an intern here at the company but once my dad gave me a permanent spot I knew I had to keep her around. "Damn it Dahyun!! Wake Your ass up already!!", she yelled. Dropping all professional formalities. Scared, but not surprised. I woke up and changed real quick, trying to avoid the wrath that is known as Son Chaeyoung. "Finally, look who decided to wake up." She scolded me. "Mr.Kim just called. We're having an urgent trip to Japan. Turns out stocks seem to be dropping so we have to meet up with the Japan Directors to see what we can do." Things must be going really bad if we have to meet up with the directors. Oh well, it gives me a chance to find myself a Japanese fling. Chae must've known what I was thinking because she hit me with a disapproving look. I'm not really a loving person, if anything I'm the exact opposite. I like to have one night stands as it really helps keep my mind off of things. Some people say I'm full of myself but it's not my fault I'm so good looking and can get any girls in my bed at the snap of my fingers. Really not my fault, what's done is done. "Hurry up and get your luggage ready. We leave at 10:30 for the airport." 10:30? What time is it now? I look at my phone to look at the time. "Oh shit, it's already 8. I haven't even had my breakfast yet." "Well maybe you should've thought of that before having your usual sexcapades the day before and leaving your victims stranded in the middle of the night." I was surprisingly taken aback. "Victims?! Please, the things you would do to have a piece of all this." I said while gesturing to myself. "You disgust me Dahyunah. You really do." She sighed and walked away. We're leaving in a couple of hours, I better get to it. I ran quickly to the kitchen, stuffed some slices of bread in the toaster and decided to go back to my room to start packing while the toast was ready. I guess I didn't keep track of time because as soon as I was done packing I received a message from Chae saying that the Limo was here. As usual my mind was all over the place as I ran down the stairs with my luggage and exited through the door with my now cold toast in hand. I was greeted out of the door by my driver Mina. Mina, along with Chaeyoung is also one of my closest friends and has been with me since forever. Needless to say, when I hired her, her and Chaeyoung seemed to hit it off real well. If you know what I mean. "Get in already, we don't have all day". Chaeyoung said rolling her eyes. "We're taking the private jet so we'll get there pretty quick." "Then what are you whining about then? The private well get us there pretty quick and the airport isn't even that far from here." I told her. "Your dad told me we have to get there quick. Weather forecasts say that a typhoon is threatening Japan and that he wants us to be there before it hits." Well I guess there goes my clubbing plans.
