CHAPTER 9 - WE BREAK INTO A HOSPITAL

"Quick!" I yelled in frustration "Let us in!"
The guard pointed the taser at my face "No Identification, No Entry"
"But he will die!" Benedict added
"Not my concern" The guard said "Now, get-"

Matt did some karate styled punches and kicks, the guard fell unconscious. We stared at him, thinking how did we do that? He took the taser and placed it in his pocket.

He just sighed, "That works"
"What are you waiting for?" I asked

We enter the hospital, the ground floor or lobby, whatever its called, was almost completely empty.

"Welcome to Jöklar Hospital" said the women at the cashier "My name is Alexis, how can I help you?"

I somehow understood the Icelandic "Jöklar means Glacier"
"Yes, it does" Alexis said "Is that all?"
"No mam" Benedict added quickly "We need a room, our friend is unconscious"
"Will you avail any special offers?" Alexis asked, while petting his dog "There is a 50% discount for the members of the di Angelo club. There is also-"

Benedict took out his dagger, Osiris. Shadows enveloped the dagger like it had a long backstory "I avail my 100% discount coupon"

Alexis gasped "There is no such thing"

The dog started barking loudly, but Matt calmed him down.

"Is that so?" Benedict said "Give it to us, or your life is forfeit"

"Never-"

The rest was lost, as Benedict stabbed Alexis, the dog ran into the aisles of rooms, we all stared at Benedict
"How about our room service?" I asked
"Let me handle this" Matt answered, as he inspected the computer.

He pressed some more buttons, and viola, he took a key which had text carved on it "C6"
"Chess?" I assumed
Beatriz scratched her head "How are you able to associate chess with room keys?"

I was about to argue about chess positions and I was ready to ramble about it for a hour or two, but Benedict interrupted me.

"Whatever" Benedict grumbled as he took a pile of money and placed in his pocket. "Lets go"

After getting lost a couple of times, we finally found C6. We immediately placed carried Mikey into the patient's bed while Matt called a doctor. I stared out the window and a full moon emerged. I didn't particularly like that, being born in April, full moons usually makes us go nuts. Especially if paired with another April. I hoped Beatriz or Matt's birthday wasn't April. I was pretty much going to die if that was the case, either from arguments or impulsion,

After a few minutes of back and forth, I felt my head nauseating, my feet going numb. That same moment, the alarm started to ring, but I somehow knew it wasn't a simple fire. They found Alexis' corpse.

"Should we run?" Matt asked
I grunted "Not without Mikey"

Now, a person (probably the owner of the hospital), using a monotone voice made an announcement.

Good evening clients of Jöklar, a unknown creature has been rampaging the C and D aisles, I recommend all clients of  the C and D aisles to not vacate their rooms until further announcements. In other announcements, after twelve years in service, Alexis Grace has been found dead, her cause of death is unknown until further inspection. Due to these events, the Jöklar staff has passed a 50% discount to all room service. In extension, we will not be liable for any deaths caused by this unknown creature.

"Im going out" I decided "I need to find this creature"
"No!" Beatriz yelled "At least not without me!"

I ran out the door to see a familiar looking silhouette of a women I somehow knew I've met before. I felt like she was important and causing trouble. Dont ask me how I knew that, but I did. I run after her.

Thats another thing about us Aprils, during the full moon, we are more impulsive and over confident. We do things that are heavily stupid.

I turn around the corner and see a wizards hat, like the ones magicians use when pulling out a rabbit. I looked at it and inspected it carefully. I couldn't read it properly, it was the letters A G B U and A.

Behind me, Beatriz was running across the aisle, yelling "what on earth are you doing?!"

I looked at her with a smug look, "But we aren't on earth"

"Still!" she grunted

My face turned blue, my muscles stiffened, all of the bad memories came back. It was Venice, my worst nightmare.

"You have made it" Venice said "That I congratulate you, but you shall begone!"

"Is that a threat?" I asked

She seemed puzzled, which also confused me. Why would she be perplexed? I took the opportunity, I threw the glaive (now to think about it, maybe it was a shuriken, but now wasn't the time to ask)

She turned the glaive into ice, it dropped and shattered. Benedict would be pissed if he learned that I lost his glaive. Speaking of him, where was he? Where is anyone in fact? but before I could answer that, I was struck with something in stomach area. A glowing blue.. arrow?.. that blended into the environment. It seemed to cause numbness and pain. I knew that much, I somehow knew I would die in 60 seconds.

"Help!" I yelled on the top of my lungs "ANY HELP!"

A sudden explosion erupted behind Venice, many debris hit her, mostly in the butt. I would love to say that no one the debris hit me, but I dont feel like lying. At least Venice had this weird magical shield thing, I didn't. I felt a tug in my gut, I knew I would be toast if I stayed. Luckily, she was distracted, so I took my only opportunity to run. I yelled, trying to look for ANYONE for help, only one door was open, and I wasn't sure if that was from our room, but I didn't take a chance to die. I ran in, and the world turned black.
