"You sure about this Cana?"

Lucy nervously pulled at the hem of her purple dress, staring back in the mirror as the latter curled her hair.

"Of course!" Cana laughed. "If there's one thing you can trust me on, it's clothes! Oh and drinks." she added as an afterthought.

"I just hope everything goes smoothly." Lucy sighed. "I really hope he accepts my apology."

"With the way you're looking right now, it'll be hard for him not to!" Cana winked. "But if you're still a bit unsure I can tweak up the outfit a little bit." she teased.

"I'm good thanks!" Lucy said quickly, raising up her hands in defense.

"Girl! Chill. There all done!"

The brunette stepped back to admire her handiwork, a smile on her face. "Lets see how he dares stay angry at you now."

"Cana!"

The latter just laughed, retreating to work on her own hair. "Green signal from Lisanna though right?"

Lucy nodded, looking through her messages. "Yeah he's coming. But apparently he wasn't the most ecstatic about it."

"Man! Levy and Juvia are missing out."

"I wish they came with too. Would've gotten more confidence." Lucy mumbled.

"If it's confidence hun then I'm all that you need!" Cana exclaimed cheerily. "Now let's go!"

"Oh wow!" Lucy stared in awe. "So this is what a party looks like."

Cana however just sighed, tugging at the blonde's sleeve. "Homeschooling. How can people even stand it?!"

They both walked in, Cana waving at a few people she knew, while Lucy awkwardly stood beside her, like a baby chick attached to it's mom.

Well no matter how one looked at it, she was kinda the baby chick here.

"Over there!" Cana pointed."Let's go over and say hi!"

Inside, the music was much louder, but it wasn't the kind that made your head pound. It was the kind that made you groove.

The host had a really good taste.

"Uh Cana?" Lucy called. "I haven't been to a lot of parties but I've watched enough teen movies. This party..it's actually kind of sophisticated.."

"Enjoy it while you can Lucy." Cana smiled, looking at her like a mother looking at her naïve child. "You'll get a taste of Erza's real party once it's time!"

"What's that supposed to-"

"Erza!"

Lucy was cut off by the appearance of a woman with long, scarlet hair.

She was breathtaking.

"Cana!" Erza smiled, hugging her. "You showed up!"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world!"

"Of course! Where are Levy and Juvia?"

"Oh they couldn't make it. Levy had an assignment due tomorrow and Juvia had to cover an unexpected shift at work."

Erza's face fell, but she looked as pretty as ever.

Seriously how can one look that beautiful when frowning, for God's sake?
