The two of them laughed as they walked around hell, searching for Dagon. What they were planning would typically have major consequences, but neither of them cared. Something told them it wouldn't matter much anyway.
"So, we're gonna need something a little special for him. Our regular blades will hurt, but he's too strong for them to kill him," Ethan told her, walking down a long hallway.
"Is that the same for all high-ranking demons?" She pondered aloud.
Ethan nodded, grabbing her hand and dragging her through a door. "Yeah, pretty much. We have a few of them in here... I can't open it, but I have a feeling you can."
As he motioned to a chest in the corner of the room, she smiled. Kazan said she was as strong as him, surely that came with all the perks.
Only the highest-ranking demons could open the chest, and despite not having yellow eyes, she was equal to them in power.
"It'll require a little blood but you won't even feel it," he reassured her, but she'd gone ahead already.
The chest opened, revealing a handful of yellow-tinted blades.
They were forged with the blood of some of the first powerful demons themselves, though no one knows just how they figured out it was necessary. It could kill any demon, and all angels except the most powerful. For the most powerful angels, they had a separate tool. But that wasn't important yet.
There were only a few of these blades, and most were locked away. So, Eden grabbed one for each of them before sealing it again.
Dagon was usually busy at this time, so the two decided to wait for him to come back.
"Everything Kazan said was crazy."
"Yeah, it was," Ethan chuckled, spinning his blade in his fingers. "It makes some sense though."
"I can't believe I've been doomed since the day we met," she teased.
In a way, she was. But at this point being a demon was something she welcomed. Screw mortal life, she was ready for an eternity of making her own rules with Ethan.
The two demons bickered, and lazily made out, until they heard footsteps approaching. Luckily, Dagon was alone.
"Ethan, what's she doing free?" He spoke slowly. He hadn't heard she was a demon yet. They made sure of that.
"I'd had enough torture from Zach and Jaro, decided to pop in for a visit." Eden laughed, standing to her feet. "I heard you're the one in charge and had to see for myself."
Dagon was on guard, but not extremely worried. He was stronger than Ethan, not that Ethan had tried anything before.
And since he hadn't even considered Eden could change so fast, he wasn't worried about her either. However, thinking Ethan did this knowing he wasn't supposed to pissed him off quite a bit.
He reached for a blade, plunging it into Eden's stomach without a word. It was a measly low-level killing blade. Would barely affect her.
When she winced but didn't fall over or die, he stepped back with wide, bright yellow eyes.
"That wasn't very nice," she frowned, wound healing on its own as she pulled out his weapon. "You're gonna have to try harder than that."
Dagon spluttered as she showed off her horns, Ethan creeping up behind him.
"That's not possible."
Ethan went to drive the yellow blade through his back, but Dagon saw his shadow. He teleported behind Ethan, ripped the blade from his hands, and stabbed him in the shoulder.
