~Next morning~

Kassidy wakes up in the backseat of a car, slightly disoriented. She looks around in confusion before realizing she is in front of Jalen's house. She gets out of the car and wobbly makes her way towards the house. Inside, she finds her parents sitting and taking to Jalen's dad. "What are we doing here?" Kassidy asks, causing all three adults to jump. Her parents turn towards her and they have dark bags underneath their eyes, indicating a sleepless night.

"Thank goodness you're alright!" her mom exclaims, relieved to see her daughter awake. Ashleigh rises to her feet and wraps her daughter into a tight embrace.   "What's going on?" Kassidy asks, barely able to take a breath in her mother's hug.   "The house is haunted, we aren't going back again. They possessed you." Her mother tells her hysterically. She wiggles out of her mother's grip and stares at her mom I'm shame. 

"That isn't funny, mom." She says while looking get mother in the eyes.

 "It's not a joke," her dad says solemnly.   "You knew how much I wanted to live there and now you take it away with some lame excuse? I hate you!" the irrational teenager shouts at her parents before running outside to find her friend. Jalen is sitting in the grass while talking with her youngest brother.  

"Hey, Kass." Her friend greets when Kassidy walks outside. "When do I get to see your new house?"  

Kassidy thinks a bit before answering and with a devious smile, she says, "Tonight."  Ryan, her two brothers, Jalen, and Kassidy all sit in Jalen's backyard, coming up with a plan to sneak back into Kassidy's new house. Kassidy had told them all what her parents had said and none of them believed it either. They would all meet in front of Jalen's house tonight at 10 pm and sneak over to the new house. Kassidy and her parents stayed over at Jalen's house but said no more words to each other. Kassidy and Jalen stayed in Jalen's room, talking, until 10 and then made their way out of Jalen's window.  They see Ryan and her two brothers already waiting outside, they were all ready to go.
