Shayde sighs wistfully as he looks up at the stars. He always wanted to fly up and touch one. He wondered what a star felt like. Where they as smooth as pearls, or course like volcanic rock? Shayde pondered on this thought for a while as he watched the moon rise.   A shiver in the bushes behind him shook him from his thoughts, turning around to see his sister, Sora, walking over and settling beside him. "Can't sleep?" Shayde asked her. "No..." She fell silent, sadness and fear clouding her gaze. "Was it him again?" Shayde questioned her gently, pulling her close to him with his wing. "Yea..." Tears formed in her aqua blue eyes, slowly rolling down her face. "When will Whisper stop terrorizing us? He haunts our thoughts and dreams every chance he can..." Shayde sighed and dropped his head, staring at the ground. "I don't know sis. I just don't know."

"When will Whisper stop terrorizing us?" That was a question that Shayde wished he could answer. He swore to protect his little sister with his life, but this was a threat he couldn't fight. Whisper disappeared three years ago, days after almost killing Sora. But it felt like he never left. He could almost swear every shadow housed his father's cold eyes. Sora would be haunted by endless nightmares of Whisper. He growled ominously. "You just wait, Whisper. I'm older now. I'm stronger. If you dare show your face..." He snarled into the crisp night air. "...you'll never dream of hurting Sora or me ever again. That's a promise..."
