The loud screeches of chains echoed in my ears and made me squirm as the feeling of ascention continued. My stomach was in knots and my head was throbbing. Where was I? What was I in? Where am I going? My breathing became irregular as I began to feel claustrophobic. I was caged in an unknown mode of transport on an unknown route to an unknown place. If it was one thing I feared- it was the unknown.
After what felt like hours, the cage vibrated upon impact with some sort of break mechanism and I was pushed back- my head slamming against the cage like wall of the 'box' I was placed in. My head was spinning and I struggled to move. Suddenly, the sounds of unlocking echoed throughout and I felt a sense of hope- that there were others.
The tops of the box opened and the bright blue sky burnt my eyes, causing me to squint. The open gap was then filled up by about a dozen teenage boys crowded around, looking down on me. One with blonde hair jumped in causing me to gasp and stumble back. He looked me in my eyes and surprisingly, I felt a sense of trust. "It's a girl" he announced to the others. He had some sort of accent- strong and thick.
He averted his gaze back towards me, "don't worry, I will help you" he reassured and offered me his hand to help me up.
