Chapter 2 : The SIM

-=Debon's POV=-

I arrived back at the bunk, readying my ammo, and cleaning my armor. Hyper already seemed ready to go, as Ber still didn't care. I walked out of our bunks and headed to the HQ, Crow and Hyper were there as Hound walked in with Blood. Ber and Dozer were talking to each other, which seemed off cause Ber hasn't really said a word. We all lined up again, staring at the Cyan ARC Trooper. "You're all back. Good. You boys are being sent to the city to deal with a little CIS Attack. This is a test, so try to prove yourself. Now, you're goal is to clear it out completely and rescue a Civ being held hostage. Do you all understand!" Shard yelled.

"Yes sir!" We yelled in unison.

I follow the Alpha, as the gate opened. We were getting closer to the entrance. "Who are you?" Blood asked a man standing on the cliff side.

"I guess we never had a proper introduction. My name is General Marek, your General," The man replied, not even glancing at us.

"Sorry for the disrespect General. We didn't know it was you," Blood replied.

"It's fine. Glad you boys arrived." The General said.

We looked around at the city, me and Ber laid on the ground. I started counting the droids, marking the locations they were at.

They aren't normal droids, they were training droids. No gunship or nothing, no wonder it was a test. The Droids are probably gonna be much harder.

All of a sudden I noticed the ARC on the roof, Silver not with them. "What's the plan General?" I asked, annoyed by the silence.

He stared once more, nodding towards the ARC. "Easy. You make your own." He simply replied.

Me and Ber looked at each other. Nobody said anything again. We looked at Hound as he shrugged, covering his face for a second.

He moved his hand away as he took a closer look. "Debon how many droids are at the entrance?" He asked.

"Around eight or so," I replied.

"I want you and Ber on our Command to take them out. Now, General you're our shield. You can block out the shots towards us. Hyper and Dozer you're in front. Your guns will be able to help us a ton. Rest of us are behind the heavies and the General. Marksman, when you clear the gate, take out the ones on the roof. Then regroup. Sound like a plan?" Hound said.

We stared at him with a smile, the General looked at him. He comms something in that made the ARC Celebrate.

Next thing you know the main force is going. Me and Ber focusing our snipers on the enemies. We stared at each other for a second, questioning when they are gonna tell us to fire. "Debon, Ber. We're in position, you may fire when ready. When you shoot, well go too." The General told us in comms.

Without hesitation, we fired. I aimed for the left side, taking them out while Ber did right side. We looked on as the group ran towards the gate. We then aimed towards the top, shooting as we watched the droids fall. We finished as we ran towards the gate too. We moved in, clearing out a few small buildings, but not all. We rushed the main building, demolishing all the droids in our path. We took the bar and the main area, all that was left was a few small rooms.

This is where we got separated based on Squads. "Alpha left! Bravo Right! Golf and General Top right!" Hound yelled.

Me and the General did so, as he readied his blade, we open the door and took a step in. The Civilian was in there! The General directed the fire to the droids as he grabbed the Civ. We told the others that we had to go, as a tank pulled up. It fired a shell into the main building injuring a few of us, including the General and I. The Civ remained in the back, as we got up again. Me, the General, Crow, and Dozer ran out and into cover, as the rest opened fire at the tank while protecting the Civilian. I ran up behind the tank as it turned around. The others grabbed the civilian and ran inside a building closer to the exit. Dozer shot it from behind as it turned again.

Crow hit it last from the side. It turned as the General ran on it, cutting a hole through it. He sliced the droids and jumped out.

We called for a LAAT as it landed right outside the City. The guys with the Civilian hopped in first, then us four did. The LAAT landed at the Landing pads as we all walked out. We escorted the Civilian back to the debrief, forgetting to take his handcuffs off. We lined us as the Commander told us our progress. "You boys did good. You successfully took out the droids, however you didn't clear out the entire city. But you did clear out the top, gate, and the main facility. You rescued the hostage, but for some reason you never took the cuffs off. That was some great leadership and you boys were amazing at following orders. Congrats to you. You are dismissed," he finished, leaving with the ARC. Still no Silver though.

Us Cadets saluted and did an About Face. We went outside and took a seat on the floor, in a circle. "What an interesting day huh?" Blood spoke, Ber chuckled a little while nodding.

"Man! This is only the start. Still can't believe the General and you Debon went down," Crow laughed staring me down.

The Cadets laughed, "Its not everyday an AAT Shell lands in a building," I replied chuckling.

We sat there for a while, until Silver who I guess finally woke up and told us to go to sleep. We got up in unison as we walked towards our bunk area. We got changed as we all jumped into a bed.
